this whole ordeal genuinely made me look back into trying to produce hypertrance/neotrance out of spite because i do adore the genre and everything in it and want to now add to it in a meaningful way.

They’re all just reheating Virtual Self nachos, neotrance came before all the drama and trend hopping.

It’s as if digicore, nightcore, and neotrance had a child. Maximalism at 180 BPM. It draws not only on Asian influences but also on Y2K aesthetics 🤓☝🏻

If you put it this way, then neotrance is not actually a real style, only sextrance/HexD Trance may be a genre, and hypertrance and neotrance can only be considered as one label?
