Is anyone at @Fortinet paying attention to code quality?? How in God's good earth did someone let this bug happen, much less get out? From the FortiManager release notes for 7.2.6 (Bug ID 1034102): ---- Unable to upgrade FortiGates from FortiManager due to a "no valid FMWR license" error, despite the FortiGates being licensed. This issue is reported when the "FMG Authorization table" on the FDS server is empty. Workaround: Re-downloading FortiGate contracts from FDS server by running the following commands on the FortiManager: diagnose fmupdate del-device <FGT_SN> diagnose fmupdate service-restart fds diagnose fmupdate service-restart fwm ----- As if I didn't have enough things to get done this week without having to do diagnostics for what is becoming an even more unstable product. This "workaround" does not work, and I have a small installation of some 200 FortiGates to update. 34 hours in and I've finally upgraded Cisco ASAs in 14 countries around the world, getting all the emergency-zero-day upgrades done. So. Damn. Many. Firewalls. But... done! #accomplished #NetEngLife

12 solid hours so far patching ancient Cisco ASAs due to the new vulnerability. Each one done by hand and carefully restarted as they can cause high-visibility site outages. I just LOVE zero-day, don't YOU? #NetEngLife
