Today is one of those days that makes me especially proud of what we are striving towards at
@igairport . A few years ago, this was an ambitious vision. Today, it is a reality...
With our Eskişehir Solar Power Plant, we have achieved a significant transformation by meeting all of our airport’s electricity needs through renewable energy sources. As the world’s most connected airport, we are proud to become the first mega airport globally to power all of its operations with solar energy.
This investment is more than just an energy project; it is a tangible reflection of our responsibility to future generations, our commitment to sustainable growth, and our determination to achieve our Net Zero Emissions by 2050 target.
I would like to thank all of my colleagues, business partners, and stakeholders whose dedication and collaboration made this achievement possible.
We will continue working towards a sustainable tomorrow. Focus on the planet, target for the future!

Sürdürülebilir havacılıkta ülkemizi küresel bir öncü konumuna getiren tarihi bir adım attık. Eskişehir'de, 220 milyon Euro yatırımla yaklaşık 3 milyon m² alana kurulan ve 240 MW toplam kurulu güce sahip Güneş Enerjisi Santralimizin (GES) yıllık 400 milyon kWh enerji üretmesi bekleniyor. Bu dev girişim sayesinde iGA İstanbul Havalimanı, enerji ihtiyacını 0 güneşten karşılayan dünyadaki ilk havalimanı olma unvanını gururla taşıyor. 🔋🌱
