Gospel Testimony Video | "Listening to God's Voice and Welcoming the Lord" The main character used to be a preacher in a house church. She worked for the Lord for years and was always longing for the Lord Jesus to return. She's firm in her belief that when He returns in the last days, He'll appear openly riding upon a cloud in His resurrected spiritual body. When she hears the joyful news that the Lord has become flesh and has returned in the last days, she doesn't believe it or even look into it. Then in a gathering, she sees that there are many prophecies, like "the coming of the Son of man," "the Son of man comes," and the Lord comes "as a thief." These are all prophecies that say when the Lord comes again in the last days, He will do so in the flesh and in secret. She doesn't dare keep clinging to her own viewpoints, so she begins to reflect and seek. So in what way does the Lord really come and appear to us in the last days? How does the main character welcome the Lord? You'll find out in Listening to God's Voice and Welcoming the Lord. Listening to God’s Voice and Welcoming the Lord Almighty God says, “Many people may not care what I say, but I still want to tell every so-called saint who follows Jesus that, when you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. Perhaps that will be a time of great excitement for you, yet you should know that the time when you witness Jesus descend from the heaven is also the time when you go down to hell to be punished. That will be the time of the end of God’s management plan and it will be when God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. For the judgment of God will have ended before man sees signs, when there is only the expression of truth. Those who accept the truth and do not seek signs, and thus have been purified, shall have returned before the throne of God and entered the Creator’s embrace. Only those who persist in the belief that ‘The Jesus who does not ride upon a white cloud is a false Christ’ shall be subjected to everlasting punishment, for they only believe in the Jesus who exhibits signs, but do not acknowledge the Jesus who proclaims severe judgment and releases the true way of life. And so it can only be that Jesus deals with them when He openly returns upon a white cloud” (The Word Appears in the Flesh). God’s words reveal that the greatest mistake shared by believers in welcoming the Lord is clinging to the literal Scripture and waiting for Him to come on a cloud as they imagine. Even when they hear that He’s returned, that He is expressing truths and doing the judgment work in the last days, they don’t seek or try to listen for God’s voice. No one imagines that when people do see the Lord Jesus come down on a cloud, God’s work of cleansing and saving mankind will already be done. They’ll be punished, weeping and gnashing their teeth. Clinging to notions without seeking the truth is so dangerous! Stuck in my notions and imaginings, I nearly missed my chance to welcome the Lord. I used to be a preacher in a house church. By 1996, I felt spiritually dry and empty, so I was going to listen to other sermons. One time, I heard someone say that Eastern Lightning was bearing witness that the Lord Jesus had returned in the flesh, that He was expressing truths and doing the judgment work of the last days, and quite a few brothers and sisters had already joined Eastern Lightning. I was really taken aback, and thought, “The Lord has returned? How could that be possible? It says in the Bible, ‘You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven’ (Acts 1:11). The Lord should return as His resurrected spiritual body on a cloud, appearing to us openly. Since we haven’t seen anything like that, how could anyone say He’s come back? The part about God’s work of judgment in the flesh is even less believable.” So, I never listened to the sermons of Eastern Lightning. One day, Brother Wang from our church invited a couple of other preachers. He said their sermons had the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment and we could all learn something. I was thrilled and invited the other brothers and sisters to attend. In the gathering, those two sisters integrated the Bible into their fellowship on the meaning of God’s work in the Ages of Law and Grace, and the mystery of God’s names. They talked about how we’re living in a vicious cycle of sinning and confessing, how we’re filthy and corrupt and unfit to see the Lord. They also said the Bible prophesied the Lord would judge and cleanse mankind when He returns in the last days to resolve our sinful nature. That’s the only way for us to be totally free of sin and worthy of the kingdom of heaven. Just like the Lord Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:12–13). There’s this, too: “For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:47–48). The sisters’ fellowship was full of light. I’d never heard anything like it in my ten years of faith. I needed to hear more, so I invited those sisters into my home to hear more fellowship. One evening, a sister spoke of God’s words, “The Seven Thunders Peal—Prophesying That the Gospel of the Kingdom Shall Spread Throughout the Universe.” She testified that the Lord Jesus had returned as Almighty God, Christ of the last days. Particularly when I heard God’s words mention “The lightning flashes from the East all the way to the West,” I realized this was Eastern Lightning. I was both shocked and disappointed. How could that be the case? I hadn’t heard such enlightening sermons for years. I’d been delighted, thinking I’d found the Holy Spirit’s work and could finally gain the living water’s sustenance. But it turned out to be Eastern Lightning! It’s written in the Scripture that the Lord will return in His spiritual form and take us straight up into heaven. How could they say the Lord had returned in the flesh? I didn’t want to hear another word. If I let them lead me astray, I figured my years of faith would have been in vain. I just wanted to usher them out. But then again, over about two weeks with them, I’d seen they lived out really good humanity. It was the dead of winter, so cold, and past midnight. I felt just rushing them out would be so inhumane. I was really conflicted for a moment. It was like an internal tug-of-war—I didn’t know what God’s will was. I made some excuse to go back into my bedroom where I kneeled before the Lord in prayer: “Oh Lord, there really is light in these sisters’ fellowship, but I’m afraid of being misled. I’m so lost. I don’t know what I should do. Lord, please guide me.” I remembered after praying that the Lord Jesus taught us to treat people with love. Kicking them out wouldn’t be in line with the Lord’s will. And so, I let them stay. Facing those two sisters, I just couldn’t calm myself. I was overwhelmed. I knew their fellowship was enlightening and came from the Holy Spirit’s work, but their fellowship that God had returned in the flesh was so at odds with my own notions. It occurred to me that I could just raise my question with them. So I asked them: “You testify that the Lord Jesus has returned in the flesh. I can’t really accept this. It’s clearly written in the Bible, ‘You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven’ (Acts 1:11). It was the Lord Jesus’ spiritual body that was taken up after His resurrection, so it should be His spiritual body that comes back down on a cloud when He returns. How can you say that He’s returned in the flesh?” Sister Li patiently responded, “There are a number of biblical prophecies about the Lord returning in the flesh. The Lord Jesus said: ‘For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be’ (Matthew 24:27). ‘Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not’ (Luke 12:40). ‘For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in His day. But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation’ (Luke 17:24–25). The Lord’s words mention ‘the Son of man’ and ‘the coming of the Son of man.’ ‘The Son of man’ means One who is born of man and possesses normal humanity. If He were in spiritual form, He wouldn’t be called ‘the Son of man.’ Jehovah God was in spiritual form, so He couldn’t be called ‘the Son of man.’ Angels are spirits, so they can’t be called ‘the Son of man.’ The Lord Jesus was called Christ, the Son of man, because He was God’s Spirit become flesh and He was the Son of man possessed of normal humanity. So when the Lord Jesus said ‘the coming of the Son of man’ and ‘the Son of man comes,’ it was a reference to the Lord returning in the flesh in the last days.” Then Sister Zhou said, “The Lord Jesus prophesied His own return: ‘But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.’ God has appeared and performs His work in the flesh as the Son of man in the last days. People don’t recognize Him as Christ and treat Him as an ordinary person. Those who don’t love the truth or seek to hear God’s voice really resist and deny Christ. Satan’s regime and the religious world also band together to condemn, slander, and reject Christ. This perfectly fulfills the Lord’s prophecy: ‘But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.’ If the Lord came in His spiritual form in the last days, appearing on a cloud with all glory, everyone would fall before Him, and no one would oppose Him. Then how would this prophecy be fulfilled?” This helped me begin to understand that if the Lord did appear directly in His spiritual form in the last days, everyone who saw Him would fall to the ground, and no one would go against Him. Then this prophecy, “But first must He suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation,” couldn’t possibly be fulfilled. I thought about how Eastern Lightning is testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned and the religious world and CCP government are throwing everything into resisting and condemning it. Doesn’t that fulfill the Lord’s prophecy of being rejected of this generation? Could Almighty God really be the Lord Jesus returned? But there were still some things I didn’t get. The Bible really does prophesy the coming of the Son of man, but the Lord also said: “Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him” (Revelation 1:7). I wondered, “Isn’t that a contradiction?” I told them about my confusion and Sister Li shared this fellowship: “The Lord is faithful. Every single word of His will be fulfilled. It’s just a matter of time. There are a lot of biblical prophecies about the Lord’s return. Besides Him coming on a cloud, there are also prophecies about Him becoming flesh and coming in secret. For example, the Lord said, ‘Behold, I come as a thief’ (Revelation 16:15). ‘And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him’ (Matthew 25:6). ‘But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only’ (Matthew 24:36). When the Lord said ‘as a thief,’ ‘at midnight there was a cry made,’ and ‘knows no man,’ He was talking about returning in secret. The Lord comes in two different ways in the last days. He incarnates in secret as the Son of man, and He also comes openly on a cloud. That is, He first comes in the flesh in secret to express the truth and judge and cleanse mankind, and to make a group of overcomers before the disasters. Once He’s finished His work of saving mankind in secret, the disasters will befall, and He’ll reward the good and punish the evil. Only then will God come openly on a cloud, revealing Himself to all nations and peoples. That’s when that prophecy of the Lord coming openly will be fulfilled. All who accept Almighty God’s work of judgment, who are cleansed of their corrupt dispositions will be protected by God and saved from the disasters. They’ll get into God’s kingdom. But those who reject Almighty God’s work of the last days, who do all they can to oppose and condemn it, will be punished in the disasters, weeping and gnashing their teeth. This will fulfill this prophecy in Revelation: ‘Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him’ (Revelation 1:7).” Then she read a passage of Almighty God’s words for me. “Many people may not care what I say, but I still want to tell every so-called saint who follows Jesus that, when you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. Perhaps that will be a time of great excitement for you, yet you should know that the time when you witness Jesus descend from the heaven is also the time when you go down to hell to be punished. That will be the time of the end of God’s management plan and it will be when God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. For the judgment of God will have ended before man sees signs, when there is only the expression of truth” (The Word Appears in the Flesh). My eyes were suddenly opened. I saw that the Lord’s return happens in stages. First, He becomes flesh and speaks and works in secret, and then He comes openly on a cloud, appearing to all peoples. I saw that I’d been delimiting the Lord’s coming to just the last way because of my notions and imaginings. That was wrong. I couldn’t keep insisting on that anymore. I thought of these words from the Lord Jesus: “For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:8). Now faced with the Lord’s return, I had to have a God-fearing heart and seriously seek to meet God’s will. Otherwise, I’d probably be eliminated by the Lord! Then I asked them, “Since the Lord first becomes flesh to work in secret when He returns, how can we be sure Almighty God is God in the flesh, Christ of the last days?” Sister Li responded very happily, “For thousands of years, no one has understood this mystery, this truth about what the incarnation is, and how we can know God in the flesh. Now Almighty God has unveiled all of these mysteries and truths to us.” Then she read a few passages of Almighty God’s words to me. “The ‘incarnation’ is God’s appearance in the flesh; God works among created mankind in the image of the flesh. So for God to be incarnated, He must first be flesh, flesh with normal humanity; this is the most basic prerequisite. In fact, the implication of God’s incarnation is that God lives and works in the flesh, that God in His very essence becomes flesh, becomes a man.” “Incarnation means that God’s Spirit becomes a flesh, that is, God becomes flesh; the work that the flesh does is the work of the Spirit, which is realized in the flesh, expressed by the flesh. No one except God’s flesh can fulfill the ministry of the incarnate God; that is, only God’s incarnate flesh, this normal humanity—and no one else—can express the divine work” “The incarnate God is called Christ, and Christ is the flesh donned by the Spirit of God. This flesh is unlike any man that is of the flesh. This difference is because Christ is not of flesh and blood; He is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both a normal humanity and a complete divinity. His divinity is not possessed by any man. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the flesh, while His divinity carries out the work of God Himself.” “He who is God incarnate shall possess the essence of God, and He who is God incarnate shall possess the expression of God. Since God becomes flesh, He shall bring forth the work He intends to do, and since God becomes flesh, He shall express what He is, and shall be able to bring the truth to man, bestow life upon him, and point the way for him. Flesh that does not have the essence of God is decidedly not the incarnate God; of this there is no doubt. If man intends to inquire into whether it is God’s incarnate flesh, then he must corroborate this from the disposition He expresses and the words He speaks. Which is to say, to corroborate whether or not it is God’s incarnate flesh, and whether or not it is the true way, one must discriminate on the basis of His essence. And so, in determining whether it is the flesh of God incarnate, the key lies in His essence (His work, His utterances, His disposition, and many other aspects), rather than external appearance. If man scrutinizes only His external appearance, and as a result overlooks His essence, this shows that man is benighted and ignorant” (The Word Appears in the Flesh). Sister Li continued her fellowship. “Christ is God in the flesh. He is God’s Spirit clothed in flesh who has become a normal person, appearing, working, and uttering words among man. God incarnate looks like a regular person, not lofty or supernatural. He has all the reason, thinking, and emotions of a normal person and He interacts with people in a very real way. What’s different is that, aside from normal humanity, He also possesses a divine essence, which people don’t have. Christ can do God’s own work. He can end an old age and begin a new one. His essence is the truth, the way, and the life. He can express the truth anywhere, anytime. He can guide and sustain people, and resolve our problems. He can give us a path of practice. Christ can also reveal mysteries, express God’s disposition, what He has and is, and His almightiness and wisdom. Christ’s words can accomplish all. There’s no human who can do this. The Lord Jesus looked like an ordinary man, but He had a divine essence. His appearance and work started the Age of Grace and ended the Age of Law. He expressed the truth, gave us the way of repentance, and forgave our sins. He was tolerant and patient, and told us to forgive seventy times seven times. He showed God’s disposition of lovingkindness and mercy. He also showed many signs and wonders while He worked, like healing the blind, making the lame walk, quieting the seas with a word, raising the dead, feeding 5,000 people with five loaves and two fishes, and more. This fully revealed God’s authority and power. The Lord Jesus’ work and words and the disposition He expressed were adequate proof that He was God in the flesh. Only God can express the truth, end an old age and begin a new one, express God’s disposition and the wisdom of His work. Besides God, no one can express the truth, express what God has and is, or take on God’s own work. This is how we can determine whether He is God in the flesh, Christ of the last days. What’s most important is seeking and investigating Christ’s work and words. If He expresses the truth and God’s disposition, if He does the work of God, then He is God in the flesh. He is Christ.” Through her fellowship, I understood better that God in the flesh can express the truth and do God’s work. That’s the reality of it. Sister Zhou continued the fellowship: “In confirming whether Almighty God is God in the flesh, we can’t just look at appearances. We have to be sure from His words, His work, and the disposition He expresses. In the last days, Almighty God is doing the work of judgment beginning with the house of God on the foundation of the Lord Jesus’ work of redemption. He’s ended the Age of Grace and ushered in the Age of Kingdom. Almighty God has uttered millions of words. He’s unveiled the mystery of God’s 6,000-year management plan, the mystery of God’s incarnation and the inside story of the Bible. He’s revealed how Satan corrupts mankind, how God saves mankind, how God does the work of judging and cleansing people in the last days, how He sorts people according to their kind and determines people’s end and destination, and more. Almighty God expresses His disposition that is principally righteous, judging and exposing our satanic nature of opposing God and our corrupt dispositions. He shows us the path to cast off evil and be cleansed, too.” Sister Zhou also shared her own experience of being judged and chastised through God’s words. She said, “I didn’t see how arrogant, selfish, and cunning I was until I was judged, chastised, tested, refined, dealt with, and pruned through God’s words. I had faith and expended myself for God, but I still sinned and resisted God all the time because of my corrupt satanic nature. For example, I always loved to show off and have people look up to me. I would haughtily scold others and have them do what I said. I was constantly lying and deceiving to protect my own interests. The list goes on. Through the judgment and chastisement of God’s words, I realized that His righteous disposition tolerates no offense and I began to fear Him in my heart. I also started to hate myself and focus on practicing the truth to resolve my satanic nature. There was some gradual change in my corrupt disposition. Aren’t the achievements of Almighty God’s work and words enough to be certain that He is God incarnate, that He is Christ of the last days?” The sisters’ fellowship brightened my heart. I saw that the key to confirming the Son of man’s appearance, and confirming Him to be Christ in the flesh is to see whether He can express God’s words and disposition, and whether He can perform work to end the old age and start the new one. Almighty God has expressed so many truths and is doing the work to judge and cleanse mankind. He’s begun the Age of Kingdom and ended the Age of Grace. Surely that means He’s Christ, the return of the Lord! I never understood the truth before. I just blindly waited for the Lord to come on a cloud in His spiritual form. I didn’t bother to seek or investigate when I heard He’d already returned. I nearly lost my chance to be reunited with the Lord. What a fool I was! After that, I devoured Almighty God’s words as if I were starving. I learned lots of truths and mysteries I’d never understood in my faith before, and became absolutely certain that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned! I shared Almighty God’s work of the last days with over 100 brothers and sisters within my network. When they read His words and heard His voice, they were moved to tears. They turned to Almighty God and accepted His work of the last days, and attended the feast of the Lamb! #testimony #faith #christianity #Jesus #God #church #bible #saved #salvation #grace #JesusChrist #BibleBuild #bibleverse #faithjourney #Christianity #faith #Jesus #Christian #JesusSaves #JesusIsKing #JesusLovesYou #prayer #Peace #JesusIsComingSoon #fearGod #proverbs #BibleStudy @Suzanne_Lewis5 @ShellyLackey247 @LenoreMari28011 @no_canceled @sezaverano @catorresortega @Sassenach78 @CherylRobson18 @AmeliaImpulsive @AngelaL15908072 @TrumpWasRite @jlfitzger @MonieSusie @LeslieJewell75 @PeterIrwin_ @duncan4900 @foster_kristin @monika_solone @renee_guthery @aboveknowledge @KellyGDonovan @Mtrlgrl3 @BroomeJenni @MrsMars37 @kguthrie916 @stephdenson @B71613Bible @CandyHazenBell @aprildearmas @villalon2009 @tonyamp1 @LeighAnne2014 @davefoltzz @HealthySlices @texanna_banana @PeteDKY @stilcsgrl @CallMeCdn @Rosepellomorris @JanaKlosowsky @MandyMccown @VirginiaHorsley @THEPaulaFreeman @RachelSaulton @NickStapleton @jephguinan @Donna50643671 @ShiversShana @JanetGlass10 @julieamahler

#Christian #Testimony Video | "Can the #Bible Represent the Lord?" The main character is a devout Christian who believes that everything in the Bible was inspired by God, that the Bible represents #God, and believing in the Lord means believing in the Bible. When she hears that The #Church of Almighty God is testifying that the Lord #Jesus has returned as Almighty God, that God has uttered new words and is doing the work of judgment beginning with the house of God, she finds it hard to accept. She's convinced God's work cannot go beyond the Bible, but the news that the Lord has returned leaves her unsettled. She later looks into the words of #Almighty God and comes to understand the real story behind the Bible and its value. Finally, she realizes that the Bible does not represent the Lord, nor does it contain eternal life, but that the only way to gain the #truth and the life is to follow #Christ of the last days. Can the Bible Represent the Lord? Almighty God says, “God Himself is life, and the truth, and His life and truth coexist. Those who are incapable of gaining the truth shall never gain life. Without the guidance, support, and provision of the truth, you shall only gain letters, doctrines, and, above all, death. God’s life is ever-present, and His truth and life coexist. If you cannot find the source of truth, then you will not gain the nourishment of life; if you cannot gain the provision of life, then you will surely have no truth, and so apart from imaginations and notions, the entirety of your body shall be nothing but your flesh—your stench-ridden flesh. Know that the words of books do not count as life, the records of history cannot be feted as the truth, and the regulations of the past cannot serve as an account of words presently spoken by God. Only that which is expressed by God when He comes to earth and lives among man is the truth, life, God’s will, and His current way of working” (“Only Christ of the Last Days Can Give Man the Way of Eternal Life” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). In my faith, I used to just stick to the Bible’s literal meaning, thinking the Bible represented the Lord and was the only way to gain life. God’s words made me see that was just my notions and imaginings. Only God is the truth and the source of human life. The Bible is just a record of God’s work, and it can’t take the place of His current work and words. If we as believers just adhere to the Bible’s words, but don’t follow God’s footsteps or accept the truths God expresses in the last days, we’ll believe till the very end without gaining the truth and the life. One day in the summer of 2017 a co-worker said to me sternly, “I think your mom has been in contact with Eastern Lightning. Be on your guard. Their way doesn’t follow the Bible—it goes beyond the Bible.” I found this hard to believe. My mom was a church deacon with a solid foundation in the Bible. How could she be in contact with Eastern Lightning? I was feeling really anxious, so I decided to rush back home to see for myself. When I got there, my mom told me that the Lord Jesus had returned, that He was expressing many words and doing the work of judgment starting with the house of God. She advised me to look into Almighty God’s work of the last days. I responded, “The pastor always says the Bible was inspired by God, that it’s all God’s word. We believe in the Lord, which means belief in the Bible. Anything else isn’t faith in the Lord. Eastern Lightning’s way is beyond the Bible and has strayed from the Lord’s way. Don’t have any more contact with them.” But my mom just said gently, “I’ve been gathering with members of The Church of Almighty God for a few days and I’ve learned some truths. Lots of confusion I’ve had in my faith has been cleared up. Their fellowship has light. It has the Holy Spirit’s guidance and enlightenment. It’s all things the pastor never talks about. Gathering with them has been so enjoyable and nourishing for me. Welcoming the Lord’s coming is no small thing. First read Almighty God’s words and listen to the brothers’ and sisters’ fellowship.” Seeing her so insistent, I didn’t say anything further. I went into my room and calmly considered what she’d said. She was right. I was off-handedly judging Eastern Lightning without first hearing them out. That wasn’t reasonable. But then I thought, “The pastor always says everything in the Bible was inspired by God, that it’s the foundation of our faith. That’s right, too.” I was filled with conflicting emotions and didn’t know who to listen to. I prayed to the Lord and asked Him to guide me to know right from wrong. The next day my mom told me again that I should look into Almighty God’s work. She also said that if I missed this chance to welcome the Lord, my regrets would come too late. I thought, “I guess I could just go see what it is they preach so I can figure out if Almighty God really is the Lord Jesus returned.” I agreed to listen to their fellowship. In a gathering, Brother Yang from The Church of Almighty God talked about God’s 6,000-year management plan to save mankind, how Satan corrupts people, and how God works step-by-step for mankind’s salvation. I’d never heard such enlightening fellowship before. It drew me in more and more. I decided I should look into Eastern Lightning. I once asked Brother Yang in a gathering, “The pastor always says that all of the Bible was inspired by God and everything in it is His word, so why do you say that it’s not all God’s word, but also contains man’s words?” He patiently responded, “Lots of religious people think that all of the Bible was inspired by God, that it’s all God’s word. But no one has ever investigated whether it’s really based in God’s word. In fact, the Holy Spirit has never said that, nor has the Lord Jesus, and it’s not written in the prophetic books, either. ‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God’ is something Paul said. Paul was just a regular person, so his words weren’t the truth. If we don’t investigate the facts but blindly determine all of the Bible is God’s word based on that statement, wouldn’t that be arbitrary? The reality is that there’s a portion of the prophetic books that was inspired by God, that is His words. It’s all clearly indicated with ‘thus saith Jehovah,’ ‘Jehovah spoke unto me saying,’ or ‘the vision of Isaiah’ and so on. The words of man make up the rest, and they’re mostly man’s records of God’s work. Isn’t it confusing and misleading if we say without any basis that the words of man in the Bible were inspired by God, that they’re God’s word? In the New Testament, aside from the Lord Jesus’ words and the prophecies in Revelation, it’s mostly the letters of disciples and apostles to the churches, which are man’s experience and knowledge. There is the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment in these things and they’re in line with the truth. They’re edifying, but they’re still just the words of man. How could they be called God’s word, or inspired by God? God is the truth, the way, and the life. Only He can express the truth. No human can express the word of God or the truth. God is God, and man is man. Man’s words and God’s words can never be on an equal footing. If the words of man, of Paul, in the Bible are taken to be God’s, that is blasphemy! And so, the idea that the Bible was all inspired by God and it’s all His word is just an absurd human interpretation. It has no factual basis.” I agreed with Brother Yang’s fellowship. There definitely are man’s words in the Bible, not just God’s, but I couldn’t entirely accept it right away. I thought, “The entire religious world thinks the whole Bible was inspired by God. Could everyone be wrong?” I said a silent prayer to the Lord: “Oh Lord, if it’s true not everything in the Bible came from You, please enlighten and guide me to understand this.” Brother Yang went on: “If the entire Bible had been inspired by God, there shouldn’t be the slightest error in the whole thing. But the reality is that there are quite a few. Take Jehoiachin ascending to the throne, for example. It says in 2 Chronicles 36:9, ‘Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem.’ In 2 Kings 24:8 it says, ‘Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months.’ These verses both record that Jehoiachin reigned as king, but in one place it says ‘eight’ while in the other it says ‘eighteen.’ One says he reigned for three months and ten days, but the other says he reigned for three months. There’s also the record of Peter denying the Lord in the Four Gospels. Matthew 26:75 says, ‘The cock shall not crow, till you have denied Me thrice.’ But Mark 14:72 says, ‘Before the cock crow twice, you shall deny Me thrice.’ It’s the same event, but there are clear conflicts in the timing. It’s evident that some parts of the Bible are human records, not God’s inspiration.” Brother Yang’s fellowship left me speechless. I thought, “That’s right! There are such obvious discrepancies in different verses recording the same event. There wouldn’t be any difference if it had come from the Holy Spirit.” I’d never noticed these issues before. I thought the whole Bible was inspired by God and was all His word, but then I saw the error in that understanding. I gave serious thought to Brother Yang’s fellowship after the gathering and reread some of Almighty God’s words we’d looked at. “Today, people believe the Bible is God, and that God is the Bible. So, too, do they believe that all the words of the Bible were the only words God spoke, and that they were all said by God. Those who believe in God even think that, although all of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament were written by people, they were all given by inspiration of God, and a record of the utterances of the Holy Spirit. This is the erroneous comprehension of man, and it does not completely accord with the facts. In fact, apart from the books of prophecy, most of the Old Testament is a historical record. Some of the epistles of the New Testament come from people’s experiences, and some come from the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit; the Pauline epistles, for example, arose from the work of a man, they were all the result of the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment, and they were written for the churches, and were words of exhortation and encouragement for the brothers and sisters of the churches. They were not words spoken by the Holy Spirit—Paul could not speak on behalf of the Holy Spirit, and neither was he a prophet, much less did he see the visions that John beheld. His epistles were written for the churches of Ephesus, Philadelphia, Galatia, and other churches. … If people see the epistles or words like Paul’s as the utterances of the Holy Spirit, and worship them as God, then it can only be said that they are too indiscriminating. To speak more harshly, is this not simply blasphemy? How could a man talk on behalf of God? And how could people bow down before the records of his epistles and of the words he spoke as if they were a holy book, or a heavenly book? Could the words of God be casually uttered by a man? How could a man talk on behalf of God?” (“Concerning the Bible (3)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Almighty God clarifies what in the Bible is God’s word, and what is man’s words, experiences and understanding. I became certain that the Bible isn’t entirely God’s word. Words from Jehovah God, the Lord Jesus, and prophets inspired by God as well as the prophecies in Revelation are God’s word. The rest is mostly the words and records of man. The next day in a gathering I told Brother Yang, “Now I understand that Paul saying ‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God’ wasn’t accurate, but I’m still confused about something. Our pastor tells us that the Bible is the foundation of the Christian faith, that it represents God, and that keeping to the Bible is the only way to believe in God. That’s what I think too, but I don’t know if that’s right.” Brother Yang said, “A lot of people in religion think so. They equate the Bible and God, or even place it above God. Is that in line with the Lord’s will? God is the Creator, the source of all life. He’s the fount of the living waters that will never run dry. God’s abundance is inexhaustible. But the Bible is just a record of God’s work. It’s a historical book. Its records of God’s work and words are very limited. How could it be equal to God? How could it represent God?” He also played two videos of readings of God’s words for me. Almighty God says, “From the time when there was the Bible, people’s belief in the Lord has been the belief in the Bible. Instead of saying people believe in the Lord, it is better to say they believe in the Bible; rather than saying they have begun reading the Bible, it is better to say they have begun believing in the Bible; and rather than saying they have returned before the Lord, it would be better to say they have returned before the Bible. In this way, people worship the Bible as if it were God, as if it were their lifeblood, and losing it would be the same as losing their life. People see the Bible as being as high as God, and there are even those who see it as higher than God. If people are without the work of the Holy Spirit, if they cannot feel God, they can carry on living—but as soon as they lose the Bible, or lose the famous chapters and sayings from the Bible, then it is as if they have lost their life” (“Concerning the Bible (1)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). “They believe in My existence only within the scope of the Bible, and they equate Me with the Bible; without the Bible there is no Me, and without Me there is no Bible. They pay no heed to My existence or actions, but instead devote extreme and special attention to each and every word of Scripture. Many more even believe that I should not do anything I wish to do unless it is foretold by Scripture. They attach too much importance to Scripture. It can be said that they see words and expressions as too important, to the extent that they use verses from the Bible to measure every word I say and to condemn Me. What they seek is not the way of compatibility with Me or the way of compatibility with the truth, but the way of compatibility with the words of the Bible, and they believe that anything that does not conform to the Bible is, without exception, not My work. Are such people not the dutiful descendants of the Pharisees? The Jewish Pharisees used the law of Moses to condemn Jesus. They did not seek compatibility with the Jesus of that time, but diligently followed the law to the letter, to the extent that—after having charged Him with not following the law of the Old Testament and not being the Messiah—they ultimately nailed the innocent Jesus to the cross. What was their substance? Was it not that they didn’t seek the way of compatibility with the truth? They obsessed over each and every word of Scripture while paying heed neither to My will nor to the steps and methods of My work. They were not people who sought the truth, but people who rigidly clung to words; they were not people who believed in God, but people who believed in the Bible. Essentially, they were watchdogs of the Bible. In order to safeguard the interests of the Bible, to uphold the dignity of the Bible, and to protect the reputation of the Bible, they went so far as to nail the merciful Jesus to the cross. This they did merely for the sake of defending the Bible, and for the sake of maintaining the status of each and every word of the Bible in people’s hearts. So they preferred to forsake their future and the sin offering to condemn Jesus, who did not conform to the doctrine of Scripture, to death. Were they not all lackeys to each and every word of Scripture?” (“You Should Seek the Way of Compatibility With Christ” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Then he shared this fellowship: “If we blindly idolize the Bible or even use it to replace the Lord and His work, that’s actually believing in the Bible, not in the Lord. Clinging to the Bible without seeking the Holy Spirit’s work or following God’s footsteps is opposing the Lord. The Pharisees regarded the Scriptures as above all else and clung tightly to their exact words. When the Lord Jesus appeared and worked they knew His work and words had authority, but they didn’t seek or investigate it. They just tried to find fault, saying His work and words went beyond the Scriptures, so they condemned Him and colluded in crucifying Him. A lot of religious people also blindly worship the Bible in the last days and even place it above God Himself. When they hear God is expressing truths to do the work of judgment in the last days, they don’t look into it. They wildly resist and condemn Almighty God’s work and words because it’s not in the Bible. Yes. How is that different from when the Pharisees clung to Scripture and opposed the Lord? It’s clear that worshiping the Bible without seeking the Holy Spirit’s work or following God’s footsteps is wrong, and a total departure from the Lord’s way.” Hearing this, I was so ashamed and utterly convinced. I saw I’d been believing in the Bible, not the Lord. I hadn’t been seeking the Lord’s will in my faith, but had just blindly believed what the pastor and elders said. I thought all God’s work and words were in the Bible, that it represented the Lord, and anything else wasn’t faith in Him. Wasn’t I making the same mistake as the Pharisees? I was filled with admiration for Almighty God’s words. I thought, “His words so thoroughly explain the truth about the Bible and even perfectly expose mankind’s attitude toward it. Could these really be God’s words?” Brother Yang continued his fellowship. “This isn’t to deny the value of the Bible, but it’s so we can approach it properly. The Lord Jesus said, ‘Search the #scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me. And you will not come to Me, that you might have life’ (John 5:39–40). The Lord Jesus’ words are very clear. The Bible just testifies to God, and it’s a record of God’s work in the Ages of Law and Grace. If we cling to the Bible without following Christ or submitting to God’s current work, for our whole life we’ll never gain the truth, much less eternal life. We can only gain eternal life by following Christ. The Lord Jesus was crucified in the Age of Grace to redeem all of mankind and gave us the way of repentance. Although our sins can be forgiven by believing in the Lord, our sinful nature remains. We still live in a state of sinning and confessing. We haven’t escaped sin, we haven’t been cleansed. The Lord is holy, so how could He let people who often sin and resist Him into His kingdom? That’s why the Lord Jesus prophesied He would come again to speak and do the work of judgment to fully cleanse and save mankind and bring us into God’s kingdom. It’s just as the Lord Jesus prophesied: ‘I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth’ (John 16:12–13). ‘He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day’ (John 12:48). And it says in 1 Peter: For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God’ (1 Peter 4:17). The Lord Jesus has returned. He is Almighty God, Christ of the last days. He is doing the work of judgment, and expressing all truths to cleanse and fully save mankind, like how to know God and His work, the inside story of God’s three stages of salvation work and the fruit it bears, how Satan corrupts mankind, how God saves mankind, how to understand the truth of our own corruption by Satan, and how to be cleansed of our corrupt dispositions. There’s also what it means to truly fear, love, and submit to God, and more. Almighty God’s work and words completely fulfill the prophecies of the Lord’s return. Only if we closely follow the Lamb’s footsteps, accept Almighty God’s work, and undergo God’s judgment and cleansing can we gain the truth and the life, and enter His kingdom.” Then, Brother Yang played two videos of God’s words for me: “God Himself is life, and the truth, and His life and truth coexist. Only that which is expressed by God when He comes to earth and lives among man is the truth, life, God’s will, and His current way of working.” “Christ of the last days brings life, and brings the enduring and everlasting way of truth. This truth is the path by which man gains life, and it is the only path by which man shall know God and be approved by God. If you do not seek the way of life provided by Christ of the last days, then you shall never gain the approval of Jesus, and shall never be qualified to enter the gate of the kingdom of heaven, for you are both a puppet and prisoner of history. Those who are controlled by regulations, by letters, and shackled by history will never be able to gain life nor gain the perpetual way of life. This is because all they have is turbid water which has been clung to for thousands of years instead of the water of life that flows from the throne” (“Only Christ of the Last Days Can Give Man the Way of Eternal Life” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Listening to this really brightened my heart. I realized that even though the Bible is a record of God’s past work, it’s not the source of life. Only God is the source of our life. We cannot get stuck on the Bible. What’s most important is obeying God’s current work and words. I knew without a doubt that Almighty God’s words are God’s words for today. They so thoroughly explain our notions and the story behind the Bible. Who else could have said all that, if not God? Over the next few days I’d jump on any chance to have fellowship on Almighty God’s words with brothers and sisters. I gained some understanding of the mystery of God’s incarnation, how God judges and cleanses man in the last days, what kind of faith is in line with God’s will, people’s outcomes and destinations, and other truths. I became certain that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned and I accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days. Gospel Testimony Video | "Can Hard Work Bring Entry to the Kingdom of Heaven?" Sheila is a devout Catholic who has stayed strong in her faith for many years and looks forward to being raptured into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returns. But as time goes on, she discovers that, despite her frequent confessions and good works, she cannot keep God's commandments and is always caught in a cycle of sinning and confessing. This leaves her distressed and feeling terrible. One day, she reads a passage of Almighty God's words posted on Facebook which explains the meaning of faith in God and exposes what people aim to get from their faith. She can't help but reflect that even though she's actively engaged in doing good works and denies herself, it's all just to get the blessings of the kingdom of heaven in return. It's not done out of any true love for God, so how could God commend such faith? Hoping to resolve her confusion, she decides to seek and investigate Almighty God's words and work. By reading Almighty God's words, everything finally becomes clear to her and she finds the path into the kingdom of heaven. Can Hard Work Bring Entry to the Kingdom of Heaven? I was born into a Catholic family. Our priest always said we should follow God’s commandments, love each other, attend Mass, and do good deeds. He said only people who did these things were devout believers and when the Lord came He would take them up to the kingdom of heaven. I often told myself: “I must do as God says, follow all the church rules and actively do good deeds, so that the Lord will love me and when He returns He’ll bless me and take me up to His kingdom.” After going to college, I suspended my studies so I could have more time to offer my service at church. Other churchgoers looked so pious when in church, praying and attending Mass, but otherwise they smoked, drank, and went to wild parties. I was disgusted. I thought, “The Lord teaches us to love Him, to help those in need, and to shun worldly temptations. These people might look like they believe in the Lord but they don’t really do anything for Him at all. They lust after worldly things and seek worldly pleasures. Doesn’t that go against the Lord’s teachings? I can’t be like them. I’ll do more good works for the Lord so I can get into the kingdom of heaven when the time comes.” But over time, I found I couldn’t keep God’s commandments in my day-to-day life either. Whenever I saw those pleasure-seeking church members living happy and free while I was struggling, I couldn’t help but blame God. The Lord teaches us to love others as ourselves but I was always envying and looking down on people. My family scolded me when I did something wrong but I’d just make excuses, quibble, and get angry at them. The Lord teaches us to be humble and forgiving but I didn’t adhere to this. I felt really guilty, like I was a believer in name only. I began to ponder: “Why can’t I ever overcome my sins? Even though I’d confess to my priest every time I sinned and do good deeds to make up for it, I’d still end up committing that same sin. How could God bless a faith like mine?” But then I’d think of how our priest always told us that by confessing to him after we’d sinned, we’d be forgiven, and as long as we worked for the Lord and did good deeds then He would have mercy on us again, bless us, and let us into His kingdom. It says in the Bible: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice” (2 Timothy 4:7–8). Reading this comforted me. I thought that as long as I attended Mass more, went to confession, and kept expending myself for the Lord then I had hope of getting into God’s kingdom. So, I kept myself busy with good deeds. I’d visit sick people and prisoners, and I volunteered at an orphanage. One day in 2017, I went on Facebook to scroll through the news just like always when I suddenly saw a passage a sister named Betty had posted. “Though many people believe in God, few understand what faith in God means, and what they must do to conform to God’s will. … ‘Belief in God’ is belief that God exists. This is the simplest way to conceive of it. What’s more, believing that there is a God is not the same as truly believing in God; rather, it is a kind of simple faith with strong religious overtones. True faith in God means the following: On the basis of the belief that God holds sovereignty over all things, one experiences His words and His work, purges one’s corrupt disposition, satisfies the will of God, and comes to know God. Only a journey of this kind may be called ‘faith in God.’ Yet people often see belief in God as a simple and frivolous matter. Those with such belief have lost what it means to believe in God, and, though they may believe unto the end, they will never meet with God’s approval, because they tread upon the wrong path. There are still those today who believe in God according to letters and in hollow doctrine. They do not know that they lack the essence of belief in God, and they cannot receive God’s approval. Still they pray to God for blessings of safety and sufficient grace. Let us stop, quiet our hearts, and ask ourselves: Could belief in God truly be the simplest thing on earth? Could it truly entail nothing more than the attainment of much grace? Could one who believes in God yet does not know Him and resists Him truly be able to satisfy His will?” (The Word. Volume 1, The Appearance and Work of God). These words felt so fresh and new. I was immediately hooked. I’d especially never considered the questions at the end of this piece before. I thought: “This is fantastic! Whose words are these? Such a short passage totally reveals the meaning of faith in God and what we aim to get from our faith.” I contemplated these words, quieting my heart and earnestly considering my faith for the first time in my life. I thought back over my years of faith. I participated in lots of church activities and ceremonies, was active in church ministry and did good deeds in the community, and I suffered a little and paid a price for it. But I did those things so that my family and I could be blessed and protected by God, and especially so that I could get into God’s kingdom. I always thought I was right to pursue such things, that God would be pleased with my faith, and that I’d receive His promises and blessings. But after reading those words, I became dimly aware of a much deeper meaning to my faith. I actively did good deeds and denied myself only to get the kingdom’s blessings in return and that isn’t true love for God. How could God commend that kind of faith? But then I thought about how I’d believed in the Lord for over 20 years, always engaged in church ministry. Could all my suffering and sacrifices have been for nothing? The more I pondered those words, the more I wanted to see what else was on Sister Betty’s Facebook timeline so I could get this all straight in my head. I got in touch with her and we had a gathering online. I told her how I’d felt when I read those words: “What you posted online was fantastic. It showed me that I believe in the Lord just for blessings, that that’s not truly loving the Lord. But there’s one thing I don’t get. The Bible says, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice’ (2 Timothy 4:7–8). My priest always says that as long as we keep doing good works and good deeds then the Lord will bless us and we’ll be able to get into His kingdom. I’ve done this throughout all the years of my faith. Will the Lord really not remember it? Won’t I be able to get into His kingdom?” Sister Betty then shared this fellowship: “Always toiling, making sacrifices, and doing good deeds for the Lord will please the Lord, and when He returns He will rapture us up into His kingdom. This is what Paul said. The Lord Jesus never said anything like that, and neither did the Holy Spirit. These words just represent Paul’s own views, and they’re not what the Lord intended. The words of man are not the truth. Only God’s words are the truth. When it comes to the important matter of getting into God’s kingdom, God’s words must take precedence. If we go by the words of man we’ll be likely to stray from the Lord’s way! So who exactly is able to get into the kingdom of heaven? The Lord Jesus tells us clearly: ‘Not every one that saith to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of My Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven’ (Matthew 7:21). This shows us that God doesn’t look at how much we sacrifice when determining who can get into the kingdom. Instead, He looks at whether or not we do His will. That is, to enter the kingdom, people have to rid themselves of their sinful nature and be cleansed, and they have to carry out God’s words, and obey, love, and worship God. If we toil and work lots and make many sacrifices, but we can’t follow God’s words, and often sin and resist God, then we are evildoers. That kind of person can’t get into the kingdom. Those Jewish Pharisees who resisted the Lord served God year in, year out in the temple and spread God’s gospel far and wide. They suffered greatly and paid a high price. From the outside, they looked devoted to God but all that concerned them was holding religious rituals. They kept and preached human traditions and doctrines, and discarded God’s laws and commandments. Their service totally went against God’s will and they strayed from the way of God. When the Lord Jesus came to do His work, the Pharisees openly pitted themselves against Him, trying to protect their own positions and livelihoods. They wildly condemned and slandered Him and did all they could to stop people following Him. In the end, they colluded with the Roman government to crucify the Lord Jesus, offending God’s disposition and incurring His punishment. This proves that though people might work hard and make sacrifices, it doesn’t mean they do God’s will. Unless they’ve been cleansed of sin, people will sin and resist God even if they expend themselves for Him. Then there’s us. Though we appear to work hard, to be kind and giving, and we help our fellow churchgoers, our aim is to be blessed and to get into God’s kingdom. When God blesses us, we thank and praise Him. When we get sick or something bad happens, we blame and misunderstand Him, and might even betray Him. Normally, we try to capitalize on our sacrifices and good works, flaunting how much we suffer and work for God, so that others look up to us and idolize us, and so that we get fame, gain, and status. We lose our temper when we encounter people or things we don’t like, we can’t adhere to God’s words, and so on. This shows us that we don’t do all these things out of love for God or to satisfy God, but to make deals with God. We’re just using and cheating God to satisfy our own ambitions and desires. How then are we people who do the heavenly Father’s will? The Bible says: ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy’ (1 Peter 1:16). God is holy, so how could God ever lead such filthy people as us into the kingdom of heaven? Only by casting off our sinful nature, being cleansed, and no longer sinning or resisting God can we be commended by God and be fit to enter His kingdom.” As I listened to her, I thought: “I used to think I could get into the kingdom with good works, but now it seems I’ve been practicing my faith at odds with God’s will. People can only enter the kingdom by becoming holy but I don’t know how to become holy.” I shared my thoughts with Sister Betty. She read me some relevant passages of Almighty God’s words. “A sinner such as you, who has just been redeemed, and has not been changed, or been perfected by God, can you be after God’s heart? For you, you who are still of your old self, it is true that you were saved by Jesus, and that you are not counted as a sinner because of the salvation of God, but this does not prove that you are not sinful, and are not impure. How can you be saintly if you have not been changed? Within, you are beset by impurity, selfish and mean, yet you still wish to descend with Jesus—you should be so lucky! You have missed a step in your belief in God: You have merely been redeemed, but you have not been changed. For you to be after God’s heart, God must personally do the work of changing and cleansing you; if you are only redeemed, you will be incapable of attaining sanctity. In this way you will be unqualified to share in the good blessings of God, for you have missed out a step in God’s work of managing man, which is the key step of changing and perfecting. You, a sinner who has just been redeemed, are therefore incapable of directly inheriting God’s inheritance.” “Though Jesus did much work among man, He only completed the redemption of all mankind and became man’s sin offering; He did not rid man of all his corrupt disposition. Fully saving man from the influence of Satan not only required Jesus to become the sin offering and bear the sins of man, but it also required God to do even greater work to rid man completely of his satanically corrupted disposition. And so, now that man has been forgiven of his sins, God has returned to the flesh to lead man into the new age, and begun the work of chastisement and judgment. This work has brought man into a higher realm. All those who submit under His dominion shall enjoy higher truth and receive greater blessings. They shall truly live in the light, and they shall gain the truth, the way, and the life” (The Word. Volume 1, The Appearance and Work of God). Sister Betty then said, “In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus just did the work of redemption. After we accept His salvation, we just need to confess and repent to Him and our sins are forgiven, and then we can enjoy the grace and blessings He bestows on us. The Lord Jesus does forgive our sins, but He doesn’t absolve our sinful nature and satanic dispositions. After Satan corrupted us, we became dominated by our corrupt dispositions, like arrogance, deceitfulness, selfishness and greed, so we can’t help but sin and resist God. It’s our satanic nature that is the root of our sin and if we don’t get rid of it, we’ll never stop sinning and resisting God and we’ll never be fit to enter the kingdom. That’s why the Lord said He’d return in the last days, expressing the truth to do the work of judgment beginning in God’s house to utterly cleanse and change our satanic dispositions. We can then be free of sin and be fully saved and gained by God. It’s just as the Lord prophesied: ‘He that despiseth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day’ (John 12:48). ‘I have yet many things to say to you: but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will teach you all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself; but what things soever He shall hear, He shall speak; and the things that are to come, He shall shew you’ (John 16:12–13). Only by accepting the returned Lord’s judgment work in the last days can we be cleansed of our corruption. Only then will we be fit to inherit God’s promises and enter His kingdom.” Sister Betty’s fellowship really opened my eyes. All those years, I’d sinned and then confessed to the priest and worked hard to do good deeds, but I still couldn’t stop myself from sinning. Now I knew that the Lord Jesus only did the work of redemption and by believing in Him we only have our sins forgiven, but our sinful nature remains within us. That’s why I was still living in a vicious cycle of sinning and confessing. The only way to be cleansed of our corruption is to accept the returned Lord’s judgment work in the last days. Then we can truly love and obey God and enter God’s kingdom. That thought made me so happy. I now had hope to be rid of sin and get into the kingdom! The next day, Sister Betty played a recitation called The Savior Has Already Returned Upon a “White Cloud.” It was really moving for me and I felt those words were so authoritative. She told me excitedly, “The Lord we’ve been yearning for has already returned as Almighty God incarnate. Almighty God expresses many truths and does the work of judgment beginning in God’s house. What we read yesterday and the recitation we listened to today were all uttered by Almighty God Himself. He has come and opened the seven seals and unrolled the small scroll. He has revealed all the mysteries we’ve never understood and bestowed all the truths we need to be fully saved and cleansed. This fulfills the prophecy in Revelation: ‘He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches’ (Revelation 3:6). Hearing God’s voice today is by the guidance of God, and we’re so blessed!” I was overjoyed and thrilled to hear the news that the Lord had returned. The recitation I’d listened to and the words I’d read the day before were all God’s words. No wonder they possessed such authority! Who else could reveal the mystery of how the Lord returns? No one other than God could do this. I was totally convinced that these words were uttered by God and that the Lord had returned. I was so excited just then. I’d never imagined I’d be able to welcome the Lord’s return. I felt so lucky! I just had one question: “How does God do the work of judgment to cleanse and fully save man?” Sister Betty then read me this passage of Almighty God’s words in answer to my question. “In the last days, Christ uses a variety of truths to teach man, to expose the essence of man, and to dissect the words and deeds of man. These words comprise various truths, such as man’s duty, how man should obey God, how man should be loyal to God, how man ought to live out normal humanity, as well as the wisdom and the disposition of God, and so on. These words are all directed at the essence of man and his corrupt disposition. In particular, the words that expose how man spurns God are spoken in regard to how man is an embodiment of Satan, and an enemy force against God. In undertaking His work of judgment, God does not simply make clear the nature of man with a few words; He exposes, deals with, and prunes over the long term. These methods of exposure, dealing, and pruning cannot be substituted with ordinary words, but with the truth of which man is utterly bereft. Only methods such as these can be called judgment; only through judgment of this kind can man be subdued and thoroughly convinced into submission to God, and moreover gain true knowledge of God. What the work of judgment brings about is man’s understanding of the true face of God and the truth about his own rebelliousness. The work of judgment allows man to gain much understanding of the will of God, of the purpose of God’s work, and of the mysteries that are incomprehensible to him. It also allows man to recognize and know his corrupt substance and the roots of his corruption, as well as to discover the ugliness of man. These effects are all brought about by the work of judgment, for the substance of this work is actually the work of opening up the truth, the way, and the life of God to all those who have faith in Him. This work is the work of judgment done by God” (The Word. Volume 1, The Appearance and Work of God). After reading this, Sister Betty said, “In the last days, Almighty God works to judge and cleanse mankind with His words. He judges man’s rebellion and unrighteousness, reveals our God-resisting satanic nature and corrupt dispositions, judges and exposes our desire for blessings and our tainted faith and our wrong views and various notions about God. He also shows us how to be honest and how to serve in line with His will, how to truly obey and love Him, how to do His will, and so on. By experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement, we see how we’ve been corrupted by Satan, and how everything we live out—our arrogance, deceit, selfishness and greed—comes from our satanic dispositions. In this we see God’s holy, righteous disposition that brooks no offense, and we begin to hate ourselves, feel regret, and focus on practicing the truth. Then our life dispositions begin to change. All this is achieved by God’s words of judgment.” Sister Betty then shared her own experiences. In her faith before, she always thought she loved the Lord because she expended herself enthusiastically, so she often prayed, asking the Lord for grace and blessings. She firmly believed that because she’d suffered for the Lord, He would surely reward her with entry into the kingdom. After she’d accepted God’s last days’ work and was judged and exposed by His words, she saw her views on faith were wrong and tainted: She didn’t believe out of love for God or to do a created being’s duty, but to satisfy her own desire for blessings and to get the blessings of the kingdom in return. This was using God and making deals with Him. She was so selfish, without a shred of humanity or reason, and she fully regretted it and hated herself. She began to pursue the truth as God required and her wrong views on faith were made right. Her selfish satanic disposition also began to change. She saw the only way to truly know herself and be cleansed of her corruption was to accept the judgment and chastisement of God’s words. From her fellowship I saw how practical it is for God to express the truth and do His judgment work in the last days and how it really can change and cleanse people. I saw how much we need God to do His judgment work in the last days and that we now have a path to be freed from corruption. I was thrilled. In later gatherings, Sister Betty told me the mystery of God’s incarnation, how Satan corrupts man, how God saves man one step at a time, the inside story of the Bible, what ends and destinations await mankind, and more. She told me truths I’d never heard before in over 20 years of believing in God. The more I read Almighty God’s words, the more I felt them to be God’s voice. Only God incarnate could express such authoritative and powerful words. Besides God, who could expose the truth of mankind’s corruption by Satan? Who could show us the errors in our faith and show us the right path in our belief? Who could reveal the mysteries of God’s 6,000-year plan and tell us what ends and destinations await us? I became convinced that Almighty God is the Lord returned—He is Christ of the last days! I then happily accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days. I thank Almighty God for choosing me and saving me. After reading God’s words, he fellowshiped, “There are two stages to God’s return in the last days. First He incarnates as the Son of man and comes in secret. This is God’s Spirit becoming flesh, expressing truths and doing the work of judgment and cleansing, ultimately completing a group of overcomers. Then the work of God’s secret incarnation will be concluded. He will rain down the great disasters, rewarding good and punishing evil. Once the great disasters end, God will come on a cloud, appearing to all peoples of all nations. This fulfills the Lord’s prophecy: ‘And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty’ (Matthew 24:30). In human minds, the Lord coming on a cloud should be a time of great jubilation for everyone, so why did He say they’d be mourning? It’s because they’ll see that Almighty God, who they resisted, is actually the returned Lord Jesus. But by then, God’s work to save mankind will be done. Since they refused to accept anything other than Jesus coming on a cloud, they missed their chance at God’s salvation. That’s why they’ll be weeping and gnashing their teeth, and be punished. We can see that God incarnate returning in secret to work isn’t just for man’s salvation, but is also to expose and eliminate people. All those who hear God’s voice and accept Him during the time when He works in the flesh and expresses truths come before God’s throne and experience judgment before the seat of Christ. Those who can rid themselves of corruption and be cleansed through God’s judgment will receive God’s protection through the disasters and survive. But the evil people who don’t love the truth and resist God will be eliminated through the work of God’s incarnation and ultimately punished in the great disasters. That is, God’s work in secret separates the goats from the sheep, the wheat from the tares, the true believers from the false ones, the righteous from the evil—all this is revealed. All will be sorted according to their kind. This is the wisdom of God’s work.” Hearing this fellowship from him really opened my eyes all of a sudden. I saw this is how the biblical prophecies about the Lord’s return will be fulfilled, and I could see God’s authority within Almighty God’s words. That sense of God’s righteous, unoffendable disposition left me trembling with fear. I knew if I clung to the notion of the Lord returning with the clouds and didn’t accept the truths expressed by the Lord’s incarnation, I’d lose my chance at salvation! At the time, I felt that Almighty God’s words really were the truth. That day I learned the mystery of the Lord’s return from reading just a few passages of His words. No wonder so many believers refused to come back after accepting Almighty God. I asked Brother Wang a few more questions. I said, “Jesus appeared to His disciples for 40 days after His resurrection, and then He ascended up into the sky in His resurrected spiritual body. We’ve always thought that when the Lord returns to judge the world, He’ll appear in spirit form, seated at a great white throne, majestic and awe-inspiring, judging all peoples, so those with great sin go to hell, while those who have done good work go to heaven. But you bear witness that the Lord comes in the flesh to carry out His judgment work. Is there a biblical basis for this?” He said, “There are biblical prophecies about God becoming flesh to perform the work of judgment. For example, ‘For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be’ (Matthew 24:27). ‘For neither doth the Father judge any man, but hath given all judgment to the Son’ (John 5:22). ‘And He hath given Him power to do judgment, because He is the Son of man’ (John 5:27). ‘He that despiseth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day’ (John 12:48). ‘I have yet many things to say to you: but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will teach you all truth’ (John 16:12–13). ‘For the time is, that judgment should begin at the house of God’ (1 Peter 4:17). These mentions of ‘the Son,’ and ‘the Son of man’ all refer to God in His incarnate form. This shows us that in the last days, God’s Spirit becomes flesh to do His judgment work, and this is judgment beginning with the house of God. That is to say, Christ of the last days expresses truths and carries out judgment among those who accept His judgment, to cleanse and save people, leading man to enter into all truths. This is the work of God’s secret coming. As for the unbelievers, God will directly condemn and destroy them, using the disasters to deal with them. Christ of the last days, Almighty God expresses all truths that cleanse and save man, doing the work of judgment beginning with God’s house. This completely fulfills the prophecies of the Lord’s return in the last days.” So after that, Brother Wang talked to me about why God doesn’t do His judgment work in the last days in spirit form, but carries it out personally in the flesh. He read me a couple passages of Almighty God’s words. Almighty God says, “God’s saving of man is not done directly using the method of the Spirit and the identity of the Spirit, for His Spirit can neither be touched nor seen by man, neither can man draw near. If He tried to save man directly using the perspective of the Spirit, man would be unable to receive His salvation. If God did not put on the outward form of a created man, there would be no way for man to receive this salvation. For man has no way of approaching Him, much as no one was able to go near the cloud of Jehovah. Only by becoming a created human being, that is, only by putting His word into the body of flesh that He is about to become, can He personally work the word into all who follow Him. Only then can man personally see and hear His word, and moreover enter into possession of His word, and by this means come to be fully saved. If God did not become flesh, no one of flesh and blood would be able to receive such great salvation, nor would a single person be saved. If the Spirit of God worked directly in the midst of mankind, all humanity would be struck down, or else, with no way of coming into touch with God, they would be completely carried away captive by Satan. The first incarnation was to redeem man from sin, to redeem him by means of the fleshly body of Jesus, that is, He saved man from the cross, but the corrupt satanic disposition still remained within man. The second incarnation is no longer to serve as a sin offering but rather to save fully those who were redeemed from sin. This is done so that those who have been forgiven may be delivered from their sins and made fully clean, and by attaining a changed disposition, break free of Satan’s influence of darkness and return before the throne of God. Only in this way can man be fully sanctified.” “If the Spirit of God spoke directly to man, mankind would all submit to the voice, falling down without words of revelation, much in the way that Paul fell to the ground in the light on the road to Damascus. If God continued to work in this way, man would never be able to come to know his own corruption through the judgment of the word and thereby attain salvation. Only through becoming flesh can God personally deliver His words into the ears of each and every human being, so that all who have ears may hear His words and receive His work of judgment by the word. Only this is the result achieved by His word, rather than the Spirit becoming manifest to frighten man into submission. It is only through this practical and yet extraordinary work that the old disposition of man, hidden deep within for many years, can be fully exposed, so that man may recognize it and have it changed. These things are all the practical work of God incarnate, in which, speaking and executing judgment in a practical manner, He achieves the results of judgment upon man by the word. This is the authority of God incarnate and the significance of God’s incarnation” (The Word, Vol. 1. The Appearance and Work of God. The Mystery of the Incarnation (4)). Then he fellowshiped with me, “We can see from Almighty God’s words that the first time God became flesh, He was crucified as a sin offering to take on man’s sins, so once we believe in the Lord our sins are forgiven. But the root of our sin, our sinful nature is still within us. We’re constantly sinning and revealing our corruption. We’re arrogant, selfish, and cunning, we lie and cheat, we’re jealous, we’re hateful. In the face of disaster, or when there’s hardship in our family, we tend to complain, blame and judge God, or even fight against Him. That’s an undeniable fact. God is holy, so anyone who is impure cannot behold Him. We’re so filthy and corrupt, and we sin and resist God, so how could we be worthy of entering God’s kingdom? The Lord Jesus prophesied that when He returned in the last days, He’d express truths and do the work of judgment to cleanse and transform man so that people can cast off their corruption, be cleansed, and enter God’s kingdom. His judgment work of the last days is to purify and save people. That’s why He needs to carry out this work in the flesh. If God’s Spirit judged people, they wouldn’t be cleansed or saved. That’s because people are mortal, of the flesh, and we’ve all been corrupted by Satan, so we’re full of satanic dispositions, filth, and corruption. We could never be near God’s Spirit. If His Spirit directly judged us, we’d just be obliterated because of our rebellion and defiance. And God’s Spirit speaking to man would be like thunder and lightning. Not only would we not understand, but it would terrify us. That kind of judgment of mankind wouldn’t achieve the desired aims.” Then he gave me an example: “Imagine a little bird is injured and we want to help it out, but it’s afraid of us and won’t let us approach it, because it’s totally different from us, and it can’t understand what we say and it doesn’t understand our intentions. But if we turned into a little bird, we could get close to it and help it, and it wouldn’t be afraid or resist us. Just the same, in order to better save us, such deeply corrupted humans, God becomes flesh and puts on the outer shell of a regular person. He expresses truths, exposing our rebelliousness and corruption, plus our sinful nature of opposing God. He displays His righteous disposition to us so we can see God is very real, vivid and lifelike. Then He can also very clearly share with us His will and demands, and the truths we should practice and enter into, showing us the path to change our dispositions and be cleansed.” Then Brother Wang fellowshiped on something else with me. “In the last days, God doing His judgment work in the flesh can better reveal our notions and rebelliousness. The first time God incarnated and came to work, the Pharisees knew very well that what the Lord Jesus preached was authoritative and powerful, but they saw He didn’t look like a great man, and He was the son of a carpenter. What He said and did didn’t fit with their notions and imaginings, so they refused to even look into it, but just fought and condemned Him, and kept others from seeking God’s work. Ultimately, they had the Lord Jesus crucified. In the last days, God has incarnated again to perform His work of judgment, and because the way He’s come isn’t in line with our notions, we delimit God out of our arrogance. The clergy of the religious world are particularly acting as minions of Satan, spreading rumors to keep believers from looking into God’s work of the last days. Just imagine, if God didn’t incarnate to do this work, but His Spirit came to do the work of judgment, who would dare be so flippant toward Him? Could that reveal people’s corruption? And so, it’s only God in the flesh that can reveal all our rebelliousness, corruption, and notions about God. Those who love the truth can recognize their corruption and essence of their defiance against God through His judgment and revelations. Ultimately they’re conquered and cleansed through His words. They gain God’s salvation and enter into a beautiful destination. But those who cling to their notions and imaginings, who refuse to accept the truth, but insist on fighting God, will be fully revealed by God to be the tares. Not only will they not be saved, but God will condemn and curse them, just like the Pharisees. So, God incarnate coming to do His judgment work in the last days is full of mercy and salvation for man, as well as God’s wisdom.” Brother Wang’s fellowship was really enlightening for me. I thought of the Age of Law. When Yahweh appeared and spoke to the Israelites on Mt. Sinai, they all heard God’s voice as if it were thunder and they were filled with fear. They said to Moses, “Speak thou to us, and we will hear: let not the Lord speak to us, lest we die” (Exodus 20:19). God is holy, and we’re corrupt humans. We really can’t have direct contact with God’s Spirit. I also remembered, when I first heard the news that the Lord has returned in the flesh, I was filled with notions and resistance, and I was incredibly arrogant. Without looking into it, I blindly assumed that the Lord couldn’t possibly return in the flesh. I sealed off the church, kept others from investigating it, and tried to stop my wife from attending gatherings. How were my actions any different from the Pharisees’, when they resisted Jesus? I was so arrogant and rebellious. If God’s Spirit did the work of judgment, He’d certainly destroy me. That’s when I realized that God incarnate performing the work of judgment really is God’s best salvation for man. Brother Wang fellowshiped with me a few more times after that and I read a lot of Almighty God’s words. From His words, I learned the mysteries of God’s incarnations, the mysteries of His names and three stages of work, and how to discern the true Christ from false ones, what kinds of people God saves, and what kinds of people He eliminates, and more. The more I read His words, the better I understood God’s work and His will. So many things became clear that I’d never understood before. It was so spiritually nourishing for me. I felt sure in my heart that Almighty God is the way, the truth, and the life, the one true God. Only God can express the truth, and He’s the eternal fount of sustenance we need in our lives. Almighty God is the Lord returned! I used to stick with the literal words of the Bible, and I pigeonholed God based on my notions and illusions. I didn’t look into God’s new work, but stubbornly rejected the Lord’s return. I nearly became a foolish virgin, missing my chance to welcome the returned Lord. If God hadn’t guided and saved me in time, I would have been ruined by my notions. It’s all thanks to God’s mercy and salvation that I could welcome His return. I’m really grateful to God! #testimony #faith #christianity #Jesus #God #church #bible #saved #salvation #grace #JesusChrist #BibleBuild #bibleverse #faithjourney #Christianity #faith #Jesus #Christian #JesusSaves #JesusIsKing #JesusLovesYou #prayer #Peace #JesusIsComingSoon #fearGod #proverbs #BibleStudy @Suzanne_Lewis5 @ShellyLackey247 @LenoreMari28011 @no_canceled @sezaverano @catorresortega @Sassenach78 @CherylRobson18 @AmeliaImpulsive @AngelaL15908072 @TrumpWasRite @jlfitzger @MonieSusie @LeslieJewell75 @PeterIrwin_ @duncan4900 @foster_kristin @monika_solone @renee_guthery @aboveknowledge @KellyGDonovan @Mtrlgrl3 @BroomeJenni @MrsMars37 @kguthrie916 @stephdenson @B71613Bible @CandyHazenBell @aprildearmas @villalon2009 @tonyamp1 @LeighAnne2014 @davefoltzz @HealthySlices @texanna_banana @PeteDKY @stilcsgrl @CallMeCdn @Rosepellomorris @JanaKlosowsky @MandyMccown @VirginiaHorsley @THEPaulaFreeman @RachelSaulton @NickStapleton @jephguinan @Donna50643671 @ShiversShana @JanetGlass10 @julieamahler

English Christian Song With Lyrics "The Status and Identity of God Himself" God’s identity is Creator, Ruler. He is unique amongst all things, all that there is. None of God’s creatures, man or spiritual, can portray, replace His status or identity. For there exists only one among all things with this identity, authority, power, and ability to rule over all things. It’s the only One: Our unique God Himself. God rules and reigns over all things. He created, administers, and provides for all there is. God rules and reigns. This is His status and identity. He lives and He moves among all there is. He can rise up high and be above all things. He can humble Himself to become a man, becoming one among those of flesh and blood. He meets people, shares in their joys and sorrows. He commands all things, decides their fate. He decides the direction in which they move. He guides the fate and direction of mankind. God rules and reigns over all things. He created, administers, and provides for all there is. God rules and reigns. This is His status and identity. All living beings should worship, obey, know this God. The only necessary choice for all men is to believe in, follow and revere God, to accept His rule and plan for their fate. God rules and reigns over all things. He created, administers, and provides for all there is. God rules and reigns. The Path to Purification I was baptized in the Lord Jesus’ name in 1990 and by 1998 I had become a church co-worker. Thanks to the work and guidance of the Holy Spirit, I had inexhaustible energy to work for the Lord and my well for sermons never ran dry. I often supported brothers and sisters who felt weak or negative and I remained patient and tolerant when their nonbeliever families were unkind to me. I felt that I’d changed a lot since becoming a Christian. But starting in 2010, I couldn’t sense the Lord’s guidance anymore and I didn’t have as much energy for my work. I preached on the same old things without any new enlightenment. When my husband or daughter did something I didn’t like, I couldn’t help but lose my temper and scold them. I knew that wasn’t the Lord’s will, and I did pray, confess, and repent, but I couldn’t help but sin again and be impatient and intolerant. This made me miserable. I diligently read the Bible, fasted, and prayed to escape that life of just sinning and confessing. I sought out pastors to help me explore this, but they couldn’t help at all. By 2017, I was still working and preaching all over the place, but I felt a sense of emptiness and unease because I was always living in sin, and that feeling was getting stronger. One day, my husband asked me, “You’ve seemed really down lately. Is there something wrong?” I shared my concerns with him in answer to his question, saying, “I’ve been thinking, I’ve been a believer all these years and I’m a preacher, so why can’t I stop living in sin? I can’t sense the Lord’s presence. It’s as if He’s left me. I’ve believed in the Lord for years, read the Bible a lot, and listened a lot to the Lord’s way. I often resolve to bear my cross and overcome myself, but I’m always bound by sin. I lie for my own benefit and prestige, and can’t achieve ‘In their mouth was found no guile’ (Revelation 14:5). I know the Lord permits the difficulties and refinements I face but I can’t help but blame and misunderstand Him. I can’t happily submit. I’m afraid that if I keep living in sin this way, I won’t get into His kingdom when the Lord comes!” In response, he said, “How could you think that? Have faith, you’re a preacher! Don’t you always say that? Though we live in sin and haven’t escaped it, yet it says in the Bible: ‘If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation’ (Romans 10:9–10), and ‘For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved’ (Romans 10:13). We live in sin and aren’t free from it but our sins are forgiven. We’re justified and saved by faith. As long as we attend services, read the Bible, bear our cross and follow the Lord, we’ll get into the kingdom of heaven and be blessed.” I said to him, “I used to think that, but recently I read 1 Peter 1:16, ‘Be you holy; for I am holy’ and Hebrews 12:14, ‘Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.’ We’ve been saved, but we’re always sinning and confessing. We haven’t achieved holiness. I’m concerned—can we get into the kingdom of heaven in the state we’re in?” After hearing me out, he agreed with me and said that the church had invited a Pastor Chen from Hong Kong and suggested I ask him about it. I figured I had to gain clarity on this, that I couldn’t be careless in my faith, or else I’d cause harm to myself as well as to my brothers and sisters. Later on, I looked up Pastor Chen online and in the page that came up, I saw the website Gospel of the Descent of the Kingdom. I went to that site and saw some words that drew me in. “Man received much grace, such as the peace and happiness of the flesh, the faith of one member bringing blessing on an entire family, the healing of sickness, and so on. The rest were the good deeds of man and his godly appearance; living by these would make one an acceptable believer. Only believers of this kind could enter heaven after death, which meant that they were saved. But, in their lifetime, these people did not understand at all the way of life. All they did was endlessly sin and confess, without any path to change their disposition: Such was the condition of man in the Age of Grace. Has man received complete salvation? No! Therefore, after that stage of work was finished, there still remained the work of judgment and chastisement. This stage is to make man pure by means of the word, and thereby give him a path to follow. It would not be fruitful or meaningful with casting out of demons, for man would not be rid of his sinful nature, but would remain at the forgiveness of sin. Through the sin offering, man has been forgiven his sins, for the work of the crucifixion has already come to an end and God has prevailed over Satan. But the corrupt disposition of man still remaining within him, man can still sin and resist God, and God has not gained mankind. That is why in this stage of work God uses the word to expose the corrupt disposition of man, causing him to practice in accordance with the right path. This stage is more meaningful than the previous one, as well as more fruitful, for now it is the word that directly supplies man’s life and enables the disposition of man to be completely renewed; it is a much more thorough stage of work” (The Word Appears in the Flesh). I was so excited to read this. It perfectly described our condition as believers, and even though I didn’t completely understand it I saw hope in it. I felt I could find the path here to being cleansed and transformed. I gave heartfelt thanks to God for hearing my prayers. As I read on, I felt that it was all so wonderfully written, and that my parched spirit was being watered and shepherded. I wondered if these people could resolve my confusion. It said on the site “Should you have any questions, please leave us a message here,” so I sent them a message without the slightest hesitation and gave them my number and email. I told my husband about this and he said he was interested in seeking, too. Members of The Church of Almighty God contacted me the next day. We chatted online that afternoon, and I shared what was puzzling me. “We’ve always gone by this verse in Romans that says ‘If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved’ (Romans 10:9). We think our sins are forgiven by the Lord Jesus, so we’ve been saved and we’ll get into the kingdom of heaven when He returns. But we’re still living in sin, we can’t keep the Lord’s teachings or escape from sin. It says in the Bible that without holiness we can’t see the Lord. I’m confused: Can someone like me who’s constantly sinning get into the kingdom? It says on The Church of Almighty God website that God is doing the work of judgment and chastisement in the last days. Is that related to escaping a sinful nature and entering the kingdom?” Brother Chen shared this fellowship with us: “To understand this, first we have to know what ‘being saved’ is. Late in the Age of Law, people had grown farther from God and they didn’t fear Him anymore. Since no one kept the law and they were sinning more and more, they were all in danger of being condemned and put to death. God personally became flesh and was crucified as a sin offering for mankind to save people from death under the law. He redeemed all mankind from sin, so all we have to do is pray in the Lord Jesus’ name, confess and repent to Him, and our sins are forgiven. Then we can enjoy God’s grace and blessings without being condemned by the law. This is the true meaning of ‘being saved’ in the Age of Grace. That is, it just means our sins are forgiven, so we won’t be condemned and put to death under the law, and that God doesn’t see those sins anymore. But it doesn’t mean that we’re not sinful, that we don’t sin or resist God anymore. Being saved doesn’t mean we’re not corrupt or that we’re cleansed, and it especially doesn’t mean we’re fit to enter God’s kingdom. To be cleansed, we have to accept God’s judgment work in the last days.” I understood from Brother Chen’s fellowship that being “saved” in Romans means accepting the Lord Jesus’ salvation and no longer being condemned and put to death under the law, but it’s not being purified. I felt there was truth to seek in this. Brother Chen went on to read us several passages of Almighty God’s words. “At the time, Jesus’ work was the work to redeem all mankind. The sins of all who believed in Him were forgiven; as long as you believed in Him, He would redeem you; if you believed in Him, you were no longer a sinner, you were relieved of your sins. This is what it meant to be saved, and to be justified by faith. Yet in those who believed, there remained that which was rebellious and opposed God, and which still had to be slowly removed. Salvation did not mean man had been completely gained by Jesus, but that man was no longer of sin, that he had been forgiven his sins. Provided you believed, you would never more be of sin.” “Man was … forgiven his sins, but as for just how man was to be purged of the corrupt satanic dispositions within him, this work had yet to be done. Man was only saved and forgiven his sins for his faith, but the sinful nature of man was not extirpated and still remained within him. The sins of man were forgiven through the agency of the incarnate God, but this did not mean that man no longer had sin within him. The sins of man could be forgiven through the sin offering, but as for how to rid man of sin, how his sinful nature may be abolished may be extirpated completely and transformed, he has no way of solving this problem. The sins of man were forgiven, and this is because of the work of God’s crucifixion, but man continued to live within his corrupt satanic disposition of old. This being so, man must be completely saved from his corrupt satanic disposition, so that his sinful nature may be completely extirpated, never to develop again, thus enabling the disposition of man to be transformed. This would require man to grasp the path of growth in life, to grasp the way of life, to grasp the way to dispositional change and to act in accordance with this path, so that his disposition may gradually be changed and he may live under the shining of the light, so that all that he does may be in accord with the will of God, so he may cast away his corrupt satanic disposition and be freed from Satan’s dark influence, thereby emerging fully from sin. Only then will man receive complete salvation.” “Though Jesus did much work among man, He only completed the redemption of all mankind and became man’s sin offering; He did not rid man of all his corrupt disposition. They shall truly live in the light, and they shall gain the truth, the way, and the life” (The Word Appears in the Flesh). Then Brother Chen shared this fellowship with us: “God’s words are clear on the reason for His work of judgment in the last days. The Lord Jesus only did the work of redemption in the Age of Grace, and even though He forgave our sins, our sinful nature is really deeply entrenched, and we still have satanic dispositions. We lie and cheat for our own benefit, we’re jealous and hateful, we follow worldly trends, we’re greedy, and we delight in injustice. If our satanic nature isn’t resolved, we may sin and resist God at any time. The Lord Jesus said, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever’ (John 8:34–35). God is holy and His righteous disposition will brook no offense. How could He let people who constantly sin and oppose Him into His kingdom? So, God has become flesh again in the last days to fully save mankind. He expresses truths to judge and purify man on the foundation of the redemption work so we humans can be fully freed from sin, be cleansed, and get into God’s kingdom. This fulfills the Lord Jesus’ prophecies: ‘I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth’ (John 16:12–13). ‘He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day’ (John 12:48). And in 1 Peter, it says: ‘For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God’ (1 Peter 4:17). If we just cling to the redemption work of the Age of Grace without accepting God’s judgment in the last days, the root of our sinfulness can never be resolved. Accepting Almighty God’s judgment work in the last days is the only way we can be cleansed of corruption and enter God’s kingdom.” Hearing Brother Chen’s fellowship brightened my heart. No wonder I couldn’t help but sin no matter how I prayed, read the Bible or tried to control myself. It was because my sinfulness hadn’t been uprooted. I hadn’t experienced God’s work of judgment in the last days! How does God’s judgment work purify, transform, and fully save people? I asked him this really eagerly. He read another passage of Almighty God’s words for us. In His work of judgment, God does not clarify man’s nature with just a few words; He exposes, deals with, and prunes over the long term. These methods of exposure, dealing, and pruning cannot be substituted with ordinary words, but with the truth of which man is utterly bereft. Only such methods can be called judgment; such judgment is all that can subdue man and convince them to submit to God and truly know God. This work is the work of judgment done by God” (The Word Appears in the Flesh). Brother Chen then continued his fellowship with us. “In the last days, God mainly expresses truths to judge and cleanse people. Almighty God has expressed all truths to purify and fully save mankind, unlocking the mysteries of His plan to save humanity, revealing the root of evil and darkness in the world, how Satan corrupts man and how God saves man, the truth of Satan’s corruption of man, people’s satanic nature of sinning and resisting God and their various satanic dispositions, how people are cleansed through the judgment, chastisement, trials, and refinement of God’s words, and more. After undergoing the judgment and chastisement of God’s words for a few years, we feel God’s words that judge and expose mankind are like a razor-sharp knife, revealing our rebelliousness, corruption, and wrong motives, It’s true. and showing us how we’ve been so deeply corrupted by Satan. We’re full of satanic dispositions like arrogance, deceit, selfishness, and baseness, without any human likeness. Even if we make sacrifices in our faith, we do it just to be blessed and get into the kingdom of heaven. We do it to make a deal with God to get His grace and blessings. We don’t do it to obey and satisfy Him. When some disaster befalls us or we encounter some other difficulty, we blame God and don’t truly submit to Him. If we have some caliber, gifts, or accomplishments in our duty, we show off so others will look up to us, and we even scold people haughtily. When God’s work and words don’t fit with our notions, we judge and resist God. We don’t fear God. When we’re exposed by God’s words and the facts, we feel ashamed, like we have nowhere to hide. We truly repent and hate ourselves and don’t want to live by our corrupt, satanic dispositions anymore. We also gain understanding of God’s righteous disposition and our reverence for Him grows. We’re willing to accept and submit to God’s judgment and chastisement, and practice the truth to cast off corruption. Our life dispositions gradually begin to change. All of this is achieved by experiencing God’s judgment in the last days.” Hearing his fellowship was touching for me. I saw how meaningful God’s judgment work in the last days is, how He expresses truths to judge and expose man in very practical ways. It’s all to cleanse and fully save us. Our corrupt dispositions will never be cleansed without experiencing God’s judgment work of the last days and we’ll be totally unfit for God’s kingdom. After a few days of fellowship, I became certain that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned and that His words are what the Holy Spirit says to the churches. I accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days without hesitation. All those years as a believer, I was trapped living in sin, but now I’ve finally found the path to purification and full salvation.
