🏡🐾Please keep this UK petition moving. It's a petition requesting shelters & temporary housing providers allow pets for homeless people because NO ONE SHOULD BE LEFT OUTSIDE🏡🐾 petition.parliament.uk/petit… An estimated 1 in 4 people experiencing homelessness has a pet. 🚨 SHELTER FULL AGAIN TONIGHT 🚨 Tonight, Homeless Project Scotland’s night shelter is full, with 33 people safely accommodated inside. However, despite our best efforts, a further 10 people remain outside after Glasgow City Council failed to provide emergency accommodation. This photograph should concern everyone. The Scottish Government In one of Scotland’s 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 largest cities, vulnerable people are being left with no option but to sleep in emergency tents on a city-centre pavement. Our volunteers have done everything possible to ensure people are not left completely exposed to the elements, but let us be clear: ⛺ Tents are not a solution to homelessness. 🏠 Emergency accommodation is. Behind every tent is a person who asked for help tonight. A person who deserves dignity. A person who deserves safety. A person who deserves somewhere warm to sleep. We will continue to stand with those who have nowhere else to turn, but charities and volunteers cannot replace the statutory responsibility to accommodate people in crisis. 33 inside. 10 outside. How many more people need to be left without accommodation before meaningful action is taken? #HomelessProjectScotland #ShelterFull #HousingEmergency #Glasgow #Homelessness #NoOneLeftOutside #EndHomelessness #HousingForAll #GlassfordStreet #DoMore

🌅 Another Morning on Glassford Street. As Glasgow begins a new day, commuters head to work, shops open their doors, and the city comes to life. But for some people, the day starts exactly where the previous one ended in a tent, on a pavement, with nowhere safe to call home. These emergency tents are a stark reminder of the housing emergency unfolding in front of us. They are not camping equipment. They are a last resort for people who have been unable to access accommodation despite seeking help. Night after night, Homeless Project Scotland volunteers do everything possible to support those who have nowhere else to turn. Yet we continue to face the same heartbreaking challenge not enough emergency accommodation for the people who need it. This cannot become the new normal. We need @GlasgowCC City Council and all partners involved in homelessness services to work urgently with frontline organisations to ensure people are accommodated and supported, not left facing another night on the streets. Behind every tent is a human being. A person with hopes, fears and dreams. A person who deserves warmth, dignity and a safe place to sleep. Our volunteers will continue to stand alongside those in need, but the solution to homelessness cannot be a tent on a city-centre pavement. Glasgow can do better. Scotland can do better. The question remains: How many more mornings must people wake up like this before meaningful action is taken? #HomelessProjectScotland #Glasgow #HousingEmergency #Homelessness #NoOneLeftOutside #EndHomelessness #GlassfordStreet #DoMore #HousingForAll

🚨 Again tonight, Tent City returns to Glassford Street. As Homeless Project Scotland shelter reaches capacity, volunteers are left with the heartbreaking reality of trying to find safe alternatives for people who have nowhere else to go. Nobody should be spending the night in a tent in the centre of Glasgow because emergency accommodation cannot be found. Behind every tent is a person in crisis. Someone’s son, daughter, brother, sister, mother or father. People who have asked for help and simply want somewhere safe to sleep. We are once again calling on @GlasgowCC City Council to do more to accommodate people who present as homeless at night. The current situation is not sustainable, and frontline charities cannot continue to shoulder this responsibility alone. Our volunteers will continue to do everything possible to ensure people are not left completely abandoned, but tents are not a solution to homelessness. People need accommodation. People need support. People need action. How many more nights will this continue? Tent City will grow #HomelessProjectScotland #Glasgow #HousingEmergency #Homelessness #TentCity #NoOneLeftOutside #GlassfordStreet #HousingCrisis #EndHomelessness

🌙 As night falls across Glasgow, Homeless Project Scotland volunteers begin setting up emergency tents for people who cannot get into the shelter because it is already full. While many of us are heading home, settling down with our families, or preparing for bed, the reality for some people is very different. They are facing another night without a safe place to stay. This should not be happening in 2026. Every tent represents someone who has run out of options. Someone who needs help, support, and most importantly, somewhere safe to sleep. We are calling on Glasgow City Council to do more and work alongside Homeless Project Scotland to source emergency accommodation for people at night. No one should be left with no option but a tent or a pavement when they are seeking help. Our volunteers will continue to do everything they can, but charities cannot solve the housing emergency alone. Behind every tent is a human being. It’s time for action, not excuses. 🏠 More emergency accommodation 🏠 Better partnership working 🏠 Faster access to support 🏠 No one left outside #HomelessProjectScotland #Glasgow #HousingEmergency #NoOneLeftOutside #Homelessness #EndHomelessness #GlassfordStreet

🌅 Good Morning, Glasgow. As the city wakes up, buses start their routes, trains begin to move, coffee shops open their doors, and the sun rises over our streets. But this is also the reality of Glasgow. This photograph was taken on Glassford Street. These emergency tents represent the growing number of people who have nowhere safe to go when accommodation cannot be found. Every night, our volunteers work tirelessly to support people in crisis. Yet too often we are faced with the heartbreaking reality that there simply isn’t enough emergency accommodation available for everyone who needs it. Glasgow City Council must do more to work alongside Homeless project scotland and other frontline organisations to source emergency accommodation at night. People should not be left on a pavement wondering where they will sleep, especially in a city and country that has the resources to do better. Behind every tent is a person. A life. A story. Someone’s son, daughter, brother, sister, mother or father. We will continue to do everything we can, but volunteers and charities cannot carry this burden alone. The question is simple: How many more people must be left with nowhere to go before meaningful action is taken? How big will tent city grow ? #HomelessProjectScotland #Glasgow #HousingEmergency #Homelessness #NoOneLeftOutside #EndHomelessness #GlassfordStreet #DoMore

🚨 A Message to Glasgow City Council and Our Politicians 🚨 Every night we see the reality of Scotland’s housing emergency. People are being turned away, accommodation is full, and far too many vulnerable men and women are being left with nowhere safe to go. Unless urgent action is taken, the number of people forced into tents and rough sleeping will continue to grow across our city. Our Shelter Manager sees the human cost of this crisis every single night. These are not statistics – they are real people, real lives, and real families who need help. We are calling on Glasgow City Council, the Scottish Government, and elected representatives from all parties to work together and deliver more emergency and supported accommodation before this situation gets even worse. No one should be forced to sleep in a tent or on the streets in a country as wealthy as Scotland. The time for talking is over. We need action. 🏠 More emergency accommodation 🏠 Faster access to housing 🏠 Better support for vulnerable people 🏠 A commitment that nobody is left outside We will continue to stand beside those who have nowhere else to turn, but charities and volunteers cannot solve this crisis alone. #HomelessProjectScotland #HousingEmergency #Glasgow #Homelessness #NoOneLeftOutside #EndHomelessness #Scotland #HousingCrisis #RoughSleeping
