there are quite some options tho (even if ur not a "make ur own smarthome"- chad like me) u just gotta make sure the devices ur buying support it , like matter,zigbee,or BLE either of them shoulkd be fine tbh - and then connect it to nodered or some such
price is about the same -

Just connected a @pimoroni Stellar Unicorn to a @Raspberry_Pi Revolution Pi via USB serial, and it was easy! BME680 sensor data flows straight into NodeRED, visualized on the Dashboard, and the exact same values are live on the Stellar Unicorn’s LED matrix. #maker #micropython

Just turned my office into a smart monitoring setup.
With just a PT1000 sensor, one AIO analog module, and my @Raspberry_Pi RevolutionPi. I’m now visualizing analog signals in real time. NodeRED handles everything beautifully clean dashboard, intuitive and ready in minutes.

MCP nad Home Assistant je opravdu pecka!
Řešil jsem debugování docela složité chyby, která procházela přes Home Assistant a NodeRed. Do problému bylo zapojeno cca 30 entit z pěti integrací. Práce s historií 24 hod.
Claude vše vytahal, udělal detailní analýzu a já jen opravil.
