Imagine working with someone who claims to be a sign language interpreter in a healthcare setting and they inadvertently provide you with the wrong information in British Sign Language? It could be life-threatening for you. Always check for registration. #NotRegisteredNotSafe

Registration means that we have verified that the language service professional meets the required minimum standards to provide you with a high quality language service. How often do you check for registration? #NotRegisteredNotSafe

That is fantastic to hear. You are much safer working with registered language service professionals. #NotRegisteredNotSafe.

Want to check if the language service professional you have booked is registered? You can check for registration by asking to see their NRCPD ID Badge or by checking the online NRCPD registers: nrcpd.org.uk. #NotRegisteredNotSafe

Agreed. British Sign Language/English Interpreters should be registered to demonstrate that they can practise safely and effectively. #NotRegisteredNotSafe

Well, as a few of us have used thus far - #NoBadgeNotSafe. Could use #NotRegisteredNotSafe too. My issue is how many people in wider society are aware of NRCPD/SASLI/RBSLI & know to check registration? Having a name in a hashtag is a potentially useful tool to raise awareness.
