When I got shortchanged on a withdrawal from Muswell Hill Sainsbury’s I went inside & was told by lady on till it happens all the time. Never got the money back & see on trust pilot I’m not alone! I was delighted to recently attend the NoteMachine drop-in event in Parliament to show my support for the campaign to protect free access to cash and help future-proof banking services for my constituents.
We were pleased to support our client @NoteMachine, provider of one of the largest cash machine networks, in their mission to future-proof community banking and access to cash. MPs had the opportunity to experience their tech-led, community bank hub – AXIS – via a VR headset.
I met with @NoteMachine who roll out AXIS shared banking hubs and run cash machine. We discussed the upcoming Financial Services and Markets Bill which will protect free access to cash and the need for a hub in Newton Aycliffe.
The UK is set to lose around one thousand free-to-use cash points, with ATM operator Notemachine claiming government funding is no longer sufficient to support the service.
