🚨OSINT: Bandit Who Kidnapped NYSC Corps Member in Zamfara Has Two Kids – And He Posts Them on Social Media
ABUJA – A Zamfara bandit responsible for kidnapping an NYSC corps member has a glaring weakness: his own social media.
Open-source intelligence (OSINT) reveals the abductor regularly posts photos of his two young children online, proudly showing off how lovely they are. By day, he's a doting father. By night, he's a kidnapper.
Security analysts say family is the Achilles' heel of most bandits. And this man has handed investigators a digital goldmine.
Every proud photo of his kids could contain:
· GPS location data
· Timestamp patterns
· Friends and associates who know his hideout
A Proven Strategy
This isn't theory. In July 2025, a bandit posted a TikTok video of 150 kidnapped villagers — and security forces tracked him using audio and visual clues. In June 2026, another bandit flaunted ransom cash online, leaving digital fingerprints.
A corps member (name withheld for security) was abducted along the Gusau–Sokoto highway — a notorious kidnapping corridor. The bandit has reportedly made ransom demands, though details remain unclear.
The bandit thinks he's untouchable. But his need to show off his family on social media may be the exact tool security forces need to track him down.
The question isn't whether they can but whether they will.
