Something similar happened when I was building multiple utilities for OfflineTools. Most of the utilities don’t get much demand, but 1-2 of them pull in 90% of the traffic.
Also, the site got spammed with generated articles, and because of that the traffic comes only from Bing.
Meanwhile, other newer projects on fresh domains started getting Google traffic within a week, because they weren’t overspammed and they solved one specific problem.
there’s one crazy idea - build 100 projects in one month. In theory it’s possible, in practice it will take serious effort.
The idea resonates with my whole body. Pros: a challenge, testing a hundred ideas, my own network of sites, a chance to get clients or at worst some search traffic. Cons: brutal burnout 😀
