Today, from the Congress of Peru, we officially launched an unprecedented initiative: parliamentarians @RuthLuqueIbarra (Peru), @JuanKarloslos (Colombia), and @Ceci_Baltazar (Ecuador) presented their bills to ban oil and gas in the Amazon. This coordinated action brings together lawmakers from four Amazonian countries to protect the world’s most biodiverse forest, defend Indigenous peoples’ rights, and move toward a just energy transition.
