At the Yamashita Pier in Yokohama, a very popular anime robot character, Gundam, was brought to life through Japanese manufacturing. Don't miss this newly-opened18-meter tall figure of the Japanese animation “Mobile Suit Gundam.”

Rajiv, I was very impressed by the panel you and Zoe were on at OpenEd18. I hoped to meet you in Phoenix but it looks like you were elsewhere. I'm very interested in how both of you think about this change.
Amazing point: "We keep using 'inclusive access' as the term- we're doing the publishers' advertising work for them. We need to call it what it actually is: "automatic billing of textbooks." - #OpenEd18
I attended #OpenEd18 in the hope I’d find a lot of P-12 resources, but it’s still in its infancy at that level. Much better developed at the collegiate level. This year’s conference is in Phoenix. openedconference.org/2019/
The keynote videos from #OpenEd18 have all been professionally captioned. Take a moment to rewatch these very different talks to find additional inspiration for the work you do with #OER for students. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

My experience at #opened18 convinced me that for that conference, a poster session is the best match for what I'd want to talk about there... (specifically dvpmntl math horror numbers and "what can OER do?") -- will think about FSI
Happening TODAY 9pm Cairo, 7pm UTC. Anyone can join - on choosing @creativecommons licenses (not a workshop explaining licenses but a discussion contextualizing them, I hope) of interest to #oer19#opened18
DYK that our open education resources are peer-reviewed and written by the same authors that publish traditional textbooks? Free doesn’t mean lesser quality. Plus, stats show students and teachers are more engaged when adapted content is used. #OpenEd18campusmanitoba.ca/2018/11/05…
In Canada, @BCcampus is at the leading edge of #openeducation. It has saved students between $8.9 and $9.3 million and has launched Canada's first Zed Cred program, which uses open educational resources to eliminate the cost of textbooks. #OpenEd18campusmanitoba.ca/2018/11/05…
