I attended #OpenEd18 in the hope I’d find a lot of P-12 resources, but it’s still in its infancy at that level. Much better developed at the collegiate level. This year’s conference is in Phoenix. openedconference.org/2019/

DYK that our open education resources are peer-reviewed and written by the same authors that publish traditional textbooks? Free doesn’t mean lesser quality. Plus, stats show students and teachers are more engaged when adapted content is used. #OpenEd18

In Canada, @BCcampus is at the leading edge of #openeducation. It has saved students between $8.9 and $9.3 million and has launched Canada's first Zed Cred program, which uses open educational resources to eliminate the cost of textbooks. #OpenEd18
