The album was recorded both outdoors and indoors - hence the title of the album. The songs include contributions from all members, along with two covers: "Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones and "The Hunter" by Albert King.

Another album I’d like to see @StevenWilsonHQ let loose on. The original mix was murky, the power of the songs needs unlocking. I’d also add Blue Cheer’s weedy sounding OutsideInside to the list. Any others?

➡️ Tracked over three months (March–May 1972) at Wally Heider Studios in San Francisco.
➡️ This would be the band’s final album of new material until their 1989 reunion.
➡️ Released on the band’s own Grunt Records label.
➡️ The original cover featured perforated cuts, letting fans turn it into a cigar box.

ハードロックが大嫌いなので、これは買ってすぐお蔵入りしたのですが、音もいいってあったが、確かに
これをプログレに分類する人もいて、面白い
けど、実際ジャンル分けほど無意味なものはない
