Checking an inflation calculator and you'll see a 34k stipend in 1999 = 62k in 2023. Yes, changes like this should be communicated better, but whining about budget management whilst students struggle to pay rent and groceries? I guess #PIproblems are the new first world problems

In preparing to place @Tags4Wildlife satellite transmitters on hawksbill sea turtles, I have run into hiccups with university export control paperwork because: 1) they are going to an island with no street addresses and 2) won’t come back. #PIproblems

I know it's been a crazy year, but can I kindly plea that the reviewers w/our revision for 3 months please get them in? Working so hard to get revision in under a tight editor deadline then to wait months for feedback kinda sucks- we'd love to take a holiday break🙏 #PIproblems

One of the hardest parts of this job is that funding grants come mostly in the form of 2-3yrs while PhD students take 4-5 yrs to finish. Essentially have to assume we will be successful in getting more grants later to pay those that we already hired. #PIproblems

This is exactly my problem! Obvs it’s great that everything is more accessible to almost everyone, but for me it’s the opposite. Traveling magically blocked off my time. Now, it’s nearly impossible to fit in anything beyond crises, deadlines, & mentorship. #PIproblems 🤷🏻♀️
