WNBA Prop Thread for 6/14 <@&1389807567429042216> Mystics vs Liberty - No Kiki Iriafen. Angela Dugalic got the start last game and played 18 minutes scoring 10 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Lauren Betts also saw a career-high 21 minutes and scored a career-high 18 points without Kiki. - I went on a big rant about Sonia and Georgia and the difference with and without Kiki. And then I proceeded to hit a max ladder with Georgia assists which was awesome. But the Pas tell a slightly different story. Georgia finished with 11 Pas (team-high) but Sonia was right behind her with 9. Here's what I noticed though. The early part of the game, there was a lot of designed actions to get Sonia involved and she was making the right reads which led to over half of her Pas coming in the 1st quarter. Georgia was getting a lot of hockey assists here. If we get a 3.5 line, I will take Georgia in this game again. The Liberty are allowing the 5th most assists to guards but are top-5 in limiting assists at the rim. Only 40% of Georgia's assists come here where over 50% of Sonia's go there. - Both Jonquel and Shakira have challenging matchups here with both paint defenses ranking in the top half of the league and both teams ranking top-2 in points allowed to centers. - Sabrina Ionescu is back after 3 weeks out. While the Liberty have generally been super cautious on minutes on injury returns (i.e. Satou), Sabrina did play 31 minutes in her only game this season (after missing several weeks). I imagine we see her for at least 25 minutes, but that's just speculation. This will severely impact Marine and Pauline. In the lone game with Sabrina and Satou, Marine's minutes dropped by >5 from her season average and her usage plummeted to 7.7% from 18.7%. Pauline saw her minutes drop by >8 but only saw her usage drop by a little over 2% to ~15%. Pauline had her 2nd lowest PA total of the season in this lone game at just 5 Pas. - Also worth noting about those measures is that Leonie was also not back at that time and neither was Betnijah Laney-Hamilton. Leonie is averaging 29 minutes on the season while Betnijah is averaging 18.4 minutes. This is mostly going to hurt Marine. Last season, with Stewie, Leonie, Jonquel, Sabrina and Kennedy Burke (it's an apt comparison to BLH) in the lineup, Marine played just 14.9 minutes and averaged 4.6 points a game. It's a good matchup for her given the Mystics are allowing the 3rd most points to guards to and 2nd most points to ATB 3s (where Marine gets 55% of her production) but I like the under. - I do like Sabrina props here though for the reasons above and we are getting a 13.5 line because she is coming back from injury but she got up 15 shots in her first game and had 13 Pas. The Mystics have mostly managed to hold guards in check from an assist perspective allowing just 3 of 15 to surpass their line and ranking T4 in assists allowed but I like o13.5P. - Against non-bottom 5 teams, Sonia is averaging 3.5 R and has 4 games at 5R or more out of 6 games in these matchups. She's getting a 2.5 line here. I generally don't like to look to previous years, but she did clear this line against a relatively similar Liberty team in every game last year. - Leonie is getting a 2.5 rebound line against a team ranking bottom 2 in rebounds allowed to forwards, but nothing stands out on tape here.

Hawks, Sixers, and Cavs were all average team at best. Spurs are better than the Knicks from a talent stand point but Knicks have years of playoff experience from getting bounced by the pacers, so they knew how to close out playoff games. Cakewalk in the east, spurs better team but lacked experience, so props there but still one of the easiest runs in NBA History

I did a top mid major list for this season, and fans called me it. Which I love. Here are four schools they said I left out. I actually have a connection with tu of the programs and got some good info. I bet your know one of the schools I dont have a connect tu. LOL I left UC Irvine, San Francisco, San Diego State, and BYU off my top mid-level college basketball list. My Bad because these are serious basketball schools with identities, coaching, toughness and enough talent tu make life miserable for bigger name schools. UC Irvine deserves my respect because they sent tu players tu UVA. They are one of those programs that never beat itself. They play smart, tugether and usually have grown men on the floor who understand their roles. They are not always the flashiest team. But that is what makes them dangerous. They defend, rebound, execute and force opponents tu play disciplined basketball for 40 minutes. Its a real chore playing these BULLS. That is why UC Irvine stays near the top of the Big West. They have a real system and when a mid major program has a system, experience and confidence. They become the kind of team nobody wants tu see in March. They may not have five-star names all over the roster. But they have players who know how tu win games. Writing On a side note. I was just told that Jurian has a DAWG mentality. Tillis is funny and playful. Everything Jurian does is with a purpose tu improve. He trained against Mikey Williams because he was considered the number one PG in HS and wanted all the smoke. By the way, Robert Dillingham was the number one PG. Well I waa told that. Anyway, the person said he makes winning plays, and not afraid of contact, big moments, or guarding the other team's best perimeter player. What separates him is that he can hurt you on both ends of the floor. San Francisco is another program I should have included because they have quietly built themselves intu a respected West Coast basketball program. People focus so much on Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s that they forget San Francisco has been right there fighting behind them for years. That is not easy. The WCC is not some soft league at the top. If you are competing in that conference. You better have guards, shooting, toughness and coaching. San Francisco usually has all of that. They recruit good basketball players, develop them and play with confidence. What I like about San Francisco is that they do not look scared when they play bigger programs. They have that city toughness. San Diego State is different because I almost feel disrespectful calling them mid-level. That program has moved past mid-major label. They are a real national basketball brand now, like Hoos Defense mentioned. They defend like crazy, play physical and always seem tu have long, athletic players who make every possession difficult. When you play them. You are not just playing against talent. You are playing against culture. They are going tu guard you, hit you, pressure you and make you earn every basket. That is why they have been successful. They are not built on one player. They are built on toughness, defense, depth, and belief. When a program can lose players and still come back looking dangerous. That tells me the foundation is strong. Finally, BYU!! They are very good but I dont like what they represent and wont get any props up here from me. FACTS
