NIST University, in collaboration with papercycle.in, hosted an awareness program on #WasteManagement for a Sustainable Future. Shri Nilesh Panda, Co-Founder of Paper Cycle, addressed the students, raising awareness about the importance of #wastemanagement and its environmental impact. He emphasized the need to use separate dustbins for dry and wet waste. Dr Sukant K. Mohapatra, our hon'ble President, urged students to recognize the seriousness of environmental pollution and encouraged efforts to maintain a clean and healthy environment. Dr. P. Rajesh Kumar, Dean of Academics, reiterated the university's commitment to the Central Government's #SwachhBharatMission, emphasizing the need for collaboration to ensure its success. Dr. Bishnukar Nayak, Registrar In-Charge, advised students to take a pledge to work towards a cleaner environment. Er. Sayad Suleiman Ali, Director of Operations, appreciated the President’s initiatives in enhancing the campus's beauty. All attendees, including students, faculty, and guests, took an oath to uphold cleanliness on campus. The event was successfully anchored by BTech 2nd yr students Abhippa Das and Asmitra Arpita Samantaray. Dr. Ratikant Nayak, the event coordinator, concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
