Festus A. O. Ogwuche
Lawyer, broadcaster, and human rights advocate. He is Managing Director of Crownfield Solicitors, a firm engaged in human rights, democracy, and good governance advocacy, and sponsors radio/TV broadcasts on those subjects.
Notably, he challenged Nigeria’s National Broadcasting Commission at the ECOWAS Court over its 2014 directive requiring 48 hours notice before live political broadcasts. The Court ruled in 2018 that the regulation violated freedom of expression and ordered it withdrawn. He is also lead applicant in Chief Festus A. O. Ogwuche and 24 Others v. Burkina Faso and 5 Others before the African Court.
He appears as a constitutional analyst on national TV, speaking on issues like separation of powers, impeachment, and judicial independence. Married to Patience Ogwuche, with over 25 years of marriage.
