حج اطاعتِ الٰہی اور عشقِ حقیقی کی معراج ہے اسلام ایک مکمل ضابطۂ حیات ہے، جو عبادات و معاملات ہر دو قسم کے اعمال میں بندوں کی نیت اور اخلاص کو خاص اہمیت دیتا ہے۔ جب بندہ دل کی گہرائیوں سے اللہ کے حضور سرِ تسلیم خم کرنے کا عہد کرتا ہے تو یہی اطاعت اصل بندگی ہے، اور یہی بندگی حج اور قربانی کا اصل پیغام ہے۔ جب بندہ احرام باندھتا ہے تو وہ دنیا کی زیب و زینت، وقتی آسائشوں اور ذاتی ترجیحات کو ترک کر کے ایک نئی روحانی کیفیت میں داخل ہوتا ہے۔ اس کی سادہ پوشاک اعلان کرتی ہے کہ وہ دنیاوی تفاخر اور شخصی تمیز سے نکل کر رب کے حضور بطور ایک عاجز بندہ حاضر ہوا ہے۔ حج کے مناسک دراصل اللہ تعالیٰ کے مقرب بندوں کی ادائیں ہیں، جنہیں ہر کوئی اختیار نہیں کر پاتا۔ یہ وہ عبادات ہیں جن کے ذریعے انسان اللہ کے قرب کی جستجو کرتا ہے۔ طواف، سعی، وقوفِ عرفہ اور رمیِ جمرات صرف اعمال نہیں بلکہ عشقِ الٰہی کی منازل ہیں، جن پر چل کر بندہ اپنی بندگی کو مکمل کرتا ہے۔ یہ ایک ایسا روحانی سفر ہے جس میں بندہ دنیا و مافیہا سے کٹ کر رب کی بارگاہ میں بے خودی کے ساتھ حاضر ہوتا ہے۔ ان مناسک کی اصل حقیقت عقل کی گرفت سے باہر ہے۔ چاہے ان کے فوائد تلاش کیے جا سکتے ہوں، مگر ان کا جوہر اطاعت میں پنہاں ہے۔ سچی عبادت وہی ہے جو خالص اللہ کے حکم پر کی جائے، نہ کہ عقل و منطق کی بنیاد پر۔ قرآن مجید میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: ذٰلِكَ وَ مَنْ یُّعَظِّمْ شَعَآىِٕرَ اللّٰهِ فَاِنَّهَا مِنْ تَقْوَی الْقُلُوْبِ۝ "یہی (حکم) ہے، اور جو شخص اللہ کی نشانیوں کی تعظیم کرتا ہے (یعنی ان جانداروں، یادگاروں، مقامات، احکام اور مناسک وغیرہ کی تعظیم جو اللہ یا اللہ والوں کے ساتھ کسی اچھی نسبت یا تعلق کی وجہ سے جانے پہچانے جاتے ہیں) تو یہ (تعظیم) دلوں کے تقوٰی میں سے ہے (یہ تعظیم وہی لوگ بجا لاتے ہیں جن کے دلوں کو تقوٰی نصیب ہوگیا ہو)۔" (سورۃ الحج، آیت 32) یہ آیت ہمیں سکھاتی ہے کہ جب بندہ اللہ کی نشانیوں کا ادب و احترام کرتا ہے — چاہے وہ کعبہ ہو، صفا و مروہ، قربانی کے جانور ہوں یا دیگر شعائرِ حج — تو وہ دراصل دل کے تقویٰ کا عملی مظاہرہ کر رہا ہوتا ہے، یہی کیفیت اسے اللہ کے قریب لے جاتی ہے۔ آج کا نوجوان اکثر ہر چیز کو عقل کی کسوٹی پر پرکھتا ہے۔ وہ پوچھتا ہے: "اس عبادت کا فائدہ کیا ہے؟" لیکن عبادت فائدے کے لیے نہیں، محض رب کے حکم پر کی جاتی ہے۔ حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے اللہ کی رضا کے لیے اپنے جگر گوشے کو قربان کرنے کا جو جذبہ دکھایا، وہ عقل سے بالا تر تھا۔ یہ عشق کی معراج، بندگی کا کمال اور تسلیم و رضا کی انتہا تھی۔ قربانی دراصل اسی سنتِ ابراہیمی کی تجدید ہے — یہ اعلان کہ "اے رب! میں تیری رضا کے لیے اپنی خواہشات قربان کرتا ہوں۔" اسی طرح حج میں طواف کے ابتدائی تین چکروں میں مردوں کے لیے تیز قدم اور سینہ تان کر چلنا سنتِ مصطفیٰ ﷺ ہے۔ اس کی عقلی توجیہ ممکن نہ بھی ہو، لیکن سچا عشق یہی کہتا ہے: "یہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کا عمل ہے، اور یہی میرے لیے کافی ہے۔" حج ہمیں یہ درس دیتا ہے کہ دین صرف عبادات کا مجموعہ نہیں بلکہ مکمل نظامِ حیات ہے۔ اس میں ہر عمل کا معیار اللہ کی رضا ہے۔ جب بندہ دنیاوی امور کو بھی اسی نیت سے انجام دے کہ یہ رب کی خوشنودی کا ذریعہ بنیں، تو وہی معمولی کام بھی عبادت بن جاتے ہیں۔ یہی شعور نئی نسل کو دیا جانا چاہیے تاکہ وہ رسم و رواج سے نکل کر عبادت کی اصل روح کو پا سکے — یعنی اللہ کے لیے جینا اور مرنا۔ حج محض ایک رسمی عبادت یا جسمانی مشقت نہیں، بلکہ یہ صبر، عاجزی، قربانی اور فنا فی اللہ کی جامع تربیت ہے۔ یہ بندے کو رب کی اطاعت میں ڈھالنے اور اُس کے حضور جھکنے کا سلیقہ سکھاتا ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں اپنی عبادات کو محض عقل سے نہیں، بلکہ عشق، اخلاص اور عاجزی سے ادا کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔ آمین، یا ربّ العالمین۔ minhaj.org/urdu/tid/60346 #Hajj2025 #SpiritualJourney #SubmissionToAllah #LoveForAllah #PilgrimageOfFaith #EssenceOfWorship #SacredRituals #UnityOfUmmah #SunnahOfIbrahim #IslamicTeachings #MinhajUlQuran #DrHussainQadri #SacrificeAndDevotion #PathToAllah #LivingForAllah

Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri delivered the third keynote lecture in the ongoing series, “The Spirit of Chivalry in the 21st Century,” titled “Immersing in the Sea of Divine Love.” This profound lecture explored the nature, stages, and conditions of divine love (Mahabba), urging attendees to delve into the spiritual depths necessary to experience the proximity and presence of Allah. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri began by drawing inspiration from the great saints of Basra and Baghdad, who sought divine love through seclusion, reflection, and detachment from the distractions of this world. He explained that the Arabic term Mahabba originates from various roots, each shedding light on the dimensions of divine love. These roots highlight qualities such as purity, steadfastness, humility, and the complete filling of the heart with the love of Allah ﷻ, leaving no space for attachment to worldly desires. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri outlined the twelve stages of divine love, beginning with Ilaqa (attraction), where a person first feels an inclination towards Allah, and culminating in ‘Ubudiyyah (servanthood), where one becomes entirely consumed by worship and witnessing Allah ﷻ. At the highest stage, Mushahada (spiritual witnessing), the lover worships Allah as though they see Him. This transformative journey, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri explained, is one of immense devotion and sacrifice, requiring the lover to annihilate their own desires and focus solely on their beloved Lord. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri narrated the story of Shaykh Sarri Saqati, who cried so much out of his longing for Allah ﷻ that he lost his eyesight multiple times. When Allah ﷻ restored his sight, Shaykh Sarri Saqati continued to cry, expressing that his tears were not out of fear of Hell or desire for Paradise but from a yearning to witness Allah’s beauty and majesty. Allah ﷻ responded, acknowledging the sincerity of his longing, affirming that crying was the right response for those who yearn to see Him. In describing the conditions of divine love, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri emphasised that true love requires obedience, unwavering remembrance, and humility. He quoted the words of a saint who said, “Divine love is forbidden to those whose hearts remain attached to this world.” He explained that only by purging one’s heart of worldly desires can the love of Allah ﷻ take root. True lovers of Allah ﷻ are those who sacrifice everything for His sake, even their own comforts and preferences. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri shared the example of a saint who, when accused of madness due to his devotion, responded, “If Allah were to be removed from my sight for even a moment, I would die on the spot.” This reflected the state of Mushahada, where the lover feels perpetually in the presence of Allah ﷻ. To illustrate the transformative power of divine love, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri recounted the encounter between a saint and a young man who refused financial assistance, declaring, “I would never sell this state of poverty and closeness to Allah, even for Paradise itself.” This example highlighted how true lovers of Allah ﷻ find contentment in their nearness to Him and reject worldly gains. This marked the beginning of the enlightening series, “The Spirit of Chivalry in the 21st Century,” as part of the Grand Mawlid Camp. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri began by emphasising that before embarking on the journey of knowledge, one must first attain Adab (etiquette and good manners). He explained that Adab stems from the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, serving as the foundation for all spiritual and worldly pursuits. Without Adab, acts of worship may lack acceptance by Allah. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri explained that true worship requires reverence, purity, and humility. When standing in prayer, one must imagine being in the presence of the King of Kings, reflecting on His majesty and attributes. Without this level of Adab, even years of worship can be rendered fruitless, as was exemplified by Iblis, who was cast out of proximity to Allah due to arrogance and a violation of Adab. Conversely, even the lowest of people can be elevated through Adab, as seen in the story of the magicians during the time of Sayyiduna Musa عليه السلام. Despite their initial disbelief, their reverence toward Musa عليه السلام before the confrontation led to their guidance and elevation. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri also illustrated that Adab extends beyond worship to how we interact with others. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri highlighted the importance of delicacy of thought and consideration for others’ feelings, recounting the example of a great saint who demonstrated Adab by accepting a gift from another scholar, despite personal discomfort, in order to honour the giver and avoid causing him embarrassment. This act of humility and sensitivity exemplified how Adab fosters respect and harmony. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri narrated another story about three great scholars who were sentenced to death due to false accusations. When one of them stepped forward to sacrifice his life for his companions, it demonstrated the ultimate act of Adab and chivalry—prioritising the well-being of others over one’s own life. This act of selflessness moved the judge and the caliph, leading to the scholars’ release. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri explained that such acts of self-sacrifice embody the principles of Futuwwa (chivalry), where a person sacrifices not just material possessions but also pride, honour, and even life for the sake of others and Allah. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri elaborated on the key qualities of Futuwwa: generosity, noble manners, and self-sacrifice. He described how Futuwwa teaches individuals to place the needs of their brothers above their own, showing mercy, compassion, and kindness at all times. In a world driven by self-interest and competition, Futuwwa serves as a counterbalance, reminding believers that another’s gain is not a loss but a shared victory. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri highlighted the importance of developing a pure and generous spirit, where one is not only content with giving but finds honour in it. Drawing from the examples of saints and scholars, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri emphasised the transformative power of Adab. He explained that maintaining Adab brings one closer to Allah and enables one to achieve the presence of Allah. Those who practise Adab are like those who ascend spiritual ladders, while those who neglect it risk undoing their progress and being cast down. Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Qadri concluded by stating that the ultimate aim of those travelling toward Allah is not paradise but His presence. This lofty goal, he said, can only be achieved through Adab.
