If the answer is “we can learn enough with safer models,” then creating the dangerous version is hard to justify. If the answer is “only the live enhanced pathogen can answer the question,” then the burden of proof should be very high.

STUDY FINDS 3,625 HIGH-CONTAINMENT BIOLABS WORLDWIDE — 73% HIDE THEIR LOCATIONS AND PATHOGEN ACTIVITIES Over 309 CONFIRMED lab leaks have occurred since 2001. State-sponsored bioterrorism must be SHUT DOWN — and all modified pathogens housed in biolabs should be DESTROYED.
Today, I’m releasing never before seen intelligence revealing new evidence of past US government funding for more than 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine. In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what “research” is being conducted. odni.gov/index.php/newsroom/…

The US funds pathogen research all over the world We know So What's the big exposé here?
Thank you, @DNIGabbard, for exposing U.S. funded biolabs around the world. The American people deserve the truth.

Outgoing intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard is raising alarms about American tax dollars funding hazardous pathogen research abroad. Recent disclosures reveal millions were spent on vulnerable laboratories located in active war zones. buff.ly/p5BTlbr

pharmaceutical company design a better drug could, in different hands, help someone understand pathogen biology in ways that matter for biosecurity. OpenAI's approach is to keep the most capable version restricted to vetted researchers and government partners, while the public

legitimate biological research, a screening system checks whether that sequence resembles something dangerous, like a component of a known pathogen, before allowing the order to proceed. AI models that are good at understanding biology are also good at improving these screening

Gain-of-function (GoF) research is a type of scientific study where researchers deliberately modify a pathogen (usually a virus or bacterium) to enhance one or more of its biological functions—such as transmissibility, virulence, host range, immune evasion, or replication.

“Minority” is an antiwhite meme-pathogen. Calling nonwhites “minorities” informs our subconscious that they are helpless, hopelessly outnumbered, and deserve our help, which is all untrue. They are nonwhites.

totally unnecessary - they are killing the plants and the good biology, making the plants even more susceptible to pathogen load nutrition already solves this issue, as musk said, they are engineering a solution to a problem that shouldnt exist

Are you a fucking idiot? The new declassification does NOT prove Russia was fabricating the existence of the labs or their pathogen work. It confirms the scale, U.S. funding, dangerous pathogen research (including GOF in some cases), and previous concealment/lack of transparency. IT LITERALLY VALIDATED key elements of the concerns that were heavily dismissed in 2022.

I think it’s important to know if there are biolabs in unstable countries that we created. After all COVID was such a raging success. 😝that was a mild pathogen that escaped and look at the disaster it created. Smallpox. Ebola, Hantavirus much more deadly.
