I live in Mysore. People here like in many other parts of India do not bother about public cleanliness. They throw kachra everywhere.
It is quite dirty.
Most roads r plastered with mud. The MC doesn't hav a road cleaning machine.
The effect of freebies is seen.

In 2019 I had visited my cousins (all well educated) in Chennai after a decade .
Banter turned to politics. I asked them whether they were aware of the prov of the world's most draconian act, the Modi Act (SCSTACT). Believe it or not, none had even heard of it.
The most politically illiterate community in the world.

Old story
COVID had struck. Modi did the national nautanki of asking ppl to bang plates, utensils etc. Having seen thru Modi's bogus/casteist agendas, I naturally took no part in this mega nautanki.
My old father had later called me & asked whether I had taken part in the plate-banging nautanki. When I said no, he seemed shocked. He was also one of the Modi fans then.
Now ofcourse he knows all about Modi's atrocious behaviour - wasting public money for PR, never ending electionbaazi, his apartheid level caste policies, extortionist taxes, love for Islam, brahmin hate... list is endless. Nothing positive.

My older brother is MDes from IIT Bombay. He is a product designer. Has been running his own design firm for 10 yrs. Its a specialised field.
Some yrs ago he was called upon by a University to assess their engineer graduates. In a few cases he suggested that candidates who hav low design skills b held back & trained for a few more months. Univ told him to clear the students on the plea that once out in the market, its not their headache!
