That second group that sees AI as photomath on steroids is a ripe target for a lot of edtech people. I appreciate Matt and others who see that AI is going to be woven into ours and our students lives for the foreseeable future and trying to figure out what we do about that.

I find it interesting that so little of the discussion has been around the overuse of photomath that started when the app went viral during the pandemic and the negative impact it had on productive struggle. We talked about math in my 8th grade classes last year and some were like - I haven't been able to get caught up since 2020 when I started using Photomath. I do think that is part of the equation here as one who is close to kids who admit that it debilitated them and they had to overcome it.
