At POINT13, the panel "Securing the Digital Frontline: Digital Security and Infrastructure for Activists, Media and CSOs in the Western Balkans" tackled real cases of surveillance, hacking and smear campaigns targeting activists, media and CSOs in the Western Balkans.

chapter uh Jared Craig is President and4:44 we are here with Nancy Holland who is4:47 the first chair for the F County uh4:50 Republicans good morning Nancy how are4:53 you hi good morning Stan how are you4:56 it's good to see you again my friend4:59 good to see you too so Nancy's going to5:01 be joining us as a national Ambassador5:03 um but obviously in Georgia uh we're5:06 going to be focusing on Georgia politics5:08 um Nancy lives in the same district is5:11 Jared Craig the day chapter president5:14 and Congressman Brian Jack who we all uh5:18 fully support and do a lot of work for5:21 so Nancy can you tell us a little bit5:24 about um your background in politics in5:25 politics well I started probably about I5:30 want to say 10 years ago I joined the5:33 Fate Republican party and then uh I was5:35 elected to be the communications chair5:40 within that party and then um I decided5:43 there was a a superior court judge that5:48 was running for office and I actually5:50 was a um I went to court and I they5:54 picked me as a juror so I saw how this5:59 judge you know worked the courtroom and6:02 he's very professional he was excellent6:05 and I saw that he was coming up for6:07 election reelection and I reached out to6:09 him and told him I would help him with6:13 his campaign so we we ran his campaign6:14 another uh gentleman and myself I6:18 reached out to him and asked him to help6:21 as well and uh we won that campaign and6:23 and he stayed on the bench which was6:27 awesome and then from that point on I6:29 got the bug and then I stayed in in um6:32 in the Republican party and then I um6:38 pretty much became an advocate online on6:43 social media I did a lot of that and6:45 then I noticed that Brian was running6:49 for office and I actually whispered in6:51 his ear and said if you need help with6:54 your campaign let me know so from that6:56 point on was helping Brian after he you6:59 know won the first go around and um we7:02 successfully won the Third District I'm7:07 glad that I was H I was able to help him7:11 do this because he's a great guy and we7:14 have representation now in our district7:17 and it's going to be amazing I just know7:18 it is well just just for the viewers um7:20 if you're in Georgia you know who Brian7:25 Jack is if you know any anybody around7:27 the president you know who Brian Jack is7:30 that's right but Brian purposely I think7:33 didn't want to be a household name for7:36 many years uh he served the president7:38 since I think from the beginning from7:41 2015 if I remember correctly and he's7:43 always been one of the go-to people in7:46 president Trump's immediate circle and7:49 if you didn't know who he was with the7:51 great things he's going to do in7:54 Congress you will know Brian Jack this7:55 this coming uh season with the Unified7:57 Government yeah he's amazing and uh he8:00 says what he does what he says that's8:05 what I've noticed with him he's not one8:08 of these guys that's going to say8:10 something and then disappear he has held8:11 up to his word ever since I've met him8:13 so I'm looking forward I'm looking8:15 forward to working with8:18 him so in your in your background you've8:20 worked with the youth as a teen Mentor8:24 um Girl Scouts leader and many other uh8:28 programs uh with children and I think8:32 one of that's very important uh because8:36 one of the things we focus on with our8:38 state chapters is local elections you8:41 know we have a National Organization8:44 that focuses on federal elections and8:47 Governor high-profile elections but I8:49 also think it's very important because8:51 saving America starts in the schools um8:53 so tell us a little bit about what8:56 you've done to help steer kids the right8:58 way through your life well I was well I9:01 started out uh like you said I was a9:04 girl scout leader I was a room mom for9:07 many years with my kids classes um I was9:10 actually a religious ed teacher at our9:13 church for many years so it's important9:17 to me um to help the youth I actually9:19 ran into one of the boys I helped Mentor9:22 with reading because I also did that I9:26 didn't9:29 tell you that one I I actually helped9:29 kids with reading as well and um he ran9:32 I saw him at church on Christmas Eve and9:35 his mom came up to me and thanked me for9:37 being a good role model in Dominic's9:40 life and Dominic gave came up and gave9:43 me a big hug and said I'm praying for9:46 you and thank you and now he's going to9:48 be a nurse he's going to college to be a9:49 nurse but when I first met him he could9:52 not read and he was in pretty he was in9:54 second grade so what I did was I started9:56 with the site words for my daughter's9:59 preschool I brought the index cards to10:01 to the meeting and I said we're going to10:03 start here from the beginning and we did10:05 and then now and I remember him coming10:07 up to me in high school saying guess10:09 what I read the Harry Potter series you10:11 know so I was so happy that I was able10:13 to make a difference in his life and10:16 then um from that point on I well I the10:18 County Republican young Republican10:22 Club um I started that with a couple10:25 kids from the local high school one's10:29 now at West Point which I'm happy to10:32 hear and the other one she just10:35 graduated from ug so two successful kids10:38 there who were willing to take on the10:42 charge of getting kids involved locally10:45 in the party um I do think we need to10:47 grow that because it gives me Faith to10:51 see Charlie Kirk with all those younger10:54 kids going to the campuses getting the10:56 kids motivated I also think the Trump10:59 Force 47 group they reached out to a lot11:02 of the youth as well on college campuses11:05 and in the local communities and I think11:08 that made a huge impact as well so I I11:10 really I that's so important to me as11:14 well is because that is the future and11:16 honestly my kids are younger than those11:19 kids in college so I know that they're11:21 the ones that are taking the lead for my11:23 kids um they're mentors for my children11:26 Amazing Amazing Stories and teaching11:30 someone to read and and educating um our11:33 youth they can make their own choices11:36 and and educated people always choose11:38 the Republican party that's right can't11:40 help it but that's a fact that's true11:43 you mentioned Trump Force 47 at our11:45 national level uh our new communications11:47 director is Tiffany Savage politically11:50 Savvy um she was a field director for11:52 the president in charge of a huge region11:55 of Georgia and I know you know her yep11:58 she worked hard yes she did and so12:00 you'll be working with her occasionally12:03 but for our viewers I just want to point12:05 out our state chapter is a different um12:06 leadership structure and I do want to12:09 credit our three veterans uh in that12:12 leadership structure uh Lieutenant12:14 Colonel Jerry Ramsey who is a Vietnam12:17 veteran is our vice president um Bundy12:20 Cobb is also a Vietnam veteran and he12:24 ran for office I think in Doug pH in the12:27 past so he's a real fighter for America12:30 first uh he's our uh operations Deputy12:32 operations director Frederick Mika uh12:36 who's very active in the cob County12:39 party and is a sheriff's deputy he's12:41 also an Air Force veteran and actually12:43 uh may even be I think he's on reserve12:46 so he's still active so those are the12:49 three veterans uh in our state chapter12:51 that you'll be working with that12:53 represent our organization and of course12:55 there's lri Hughes uh who has a huge I12:57 know her yep hu huge following on her13:00 show which we'll get you on soon13:03 cartique bot um who was a national13:06 referend inter Trump and very active13:08 with the Hindu Coalition for the13:10 campaign he's the deputy political13:12 director and Debbie douly one of the13:15 co-founders of the Tea Party um and13:17 she's our press secretary and you know13:19 Jared Craig who also was an attorney uh13:22 for the Trump campaign final election13:25 integrity uh for election day so uh13:28 you'll be joining our team in Georgia uh13:32 you're a tremendous asset to American13:34 politics and we're blessed to have you13:36 I'm so excited we're very excited to13:38 have you and and in and in closing um I13:41 see you volunteered with tunnel Tunnels13:45 for towers and you mentioned West Point13:47 tell us a little bit more um about your13:49 support of military and law13:53 enforcement well uh my brother is a13:55 police officer in Arizona so that you13:58 know is part of the family um we've14:01 always had police and fire in our family14:04 my dad was a Chicago fireman so I grew14:07 up on the south side of Chicago and uh14:09 grew up as a daughter of a Chicago14:12 fireman so the tunnel to Towers is very14:14 important to me because that day when I14:18 saw that what was going14:20 on I that's who I thought about really14:21 were all the firefighters going into the14:25 buildings and the police officers14:27 helping the people14:28 so that really touched me and honestly I14:30 was just in New York last week and I14:32 went to the um 911 memorial and it was14:34 just so touching and it's like you have14:38 to take like three or four hours to go14:40 through that museum because it is just14:43 absolutely incredible what you see that14:45 was left over from that whole um that14:49 whole horrible day but I was able to14:53 teach my kids they were there my oldest14:56 daughter honestly had to leave cuz she14:59 was so touched by it she just said I I15:00 got to get out of here this is15:02 overwhelming to me she couldn't believe15:04 like this actually happened on our soil15:06 but so my brother's a police officer in15:09 Arizona uh my dad's a firefighter tunnel15:12 to Towers is important to me um I15:15 reached out to Robin I said I want to15:17 help she came to the F Republican party15:19 and talked about the tunnel to towers15:22 and uh I went up to her and I said I15:24 want to help so I volunteered with her15:26 um and this year and it was a great15:29 successful event Brian Jack was there15:32 actually he was one of the speakers and15:34 um it was full it was oversold so next15:37 year we're doing two golf courses and I15:40 told Robin if she were needing someone15:43 to run the uh event at the other golf15:46 course I'd be happy to do it because I15:49 did run a golf tournament in the past so15:50 we're in touch and she's like looking15:53 looking for volunteers now and um items15:55 and it was amazing and we had the the15:59 director from tunnel to Towers come and16:01 speak and the family that they they16:03 actually helped was a family from one of16:06 the police officers up in North Georgia16:09 who was killed recently and it was his16:11 family that came down so they're also16:14 reaching out what they're going to do is16:17 they're going to expand and their their16:18 goal is to make um housing for Veterans16:20 instead of just uh helping one family at16:24 a time they want to go bigger and help16:27 more so they're going to create um16:30 housing for Veterans that's their next16:33 goal wonderful news so uh this what we16:36 do as Republicans we we create housing16:39 for people who served our country that16:42 that are in need and Democrats create16:44 housing for illegal immigrants who bring16:46 Crime to the country so yeah big16:48 difference in in the party and their16:50 efforts that's right so Nancy I was in16:52 the the 911 memorial and that brought me16:55 to tears as well so thank you for16:56 calendar calendar on17:13 there we have monthly breakfast the17:16 first Saturday of every month at 8:30 uh17:18 breakfast starts and then at 9: we have17:22 wonderful speakers that come every month17:24 um we just had Brian Jack speak last17:27 month and uh in April we've got Josh17:29 mcon coming so we're setting up and then17:32 Janelle King she'll be here in March17:35 with her husband and so Kelvin and uh so17:38 we've got great speakers We've Got A17:44 Woman's Club we've got a men's club um17:46 we do outside other events like I did17:49 for you that one event great great17:52 documentary that you did on the border17:55 um thank you yeah so we did that and17:58 that was a good18:02 turnout and so it was great meeting um18:04 Admiral18:09 kubic he came and spoke it was amazing18:10 and I love supposed to have a lot of18:14 other speakers there but the president18:15 decided to have I know a rally that day18:17 so that kind of hurt the point you18:20 trumped us you Trump but that that went18:22 well so so Nancy we look forward to18:26 working with you we really appreciate18:28 you joining um you'll be working18:29 directly with Jared Craig as as the18:32
