It is, and getting people to see that just because theyβre different doesnβt mean TMNT are bad. Heck, this scene even shows Splinter somewhat overcoming his hateful fear of humans from before he was mutated and the previous trip topside. An open hand makes all the difference!
Jeff Rowe told /Film he wanted the helping human to be someone meaningful to the franchise, which is why it is Eastman credited as Good Human. a movie about Splinter's distrust of people, and the one person who helps him up is the man who drew him in 1984.
I honestly want more stories that include background characters helping the main character defeat the villain, because watching the humans helping the turtles is so cool
That recording day was probably my favorite day on MM (and honestly one of the coolest days of my life). He stopped by the production office after and took time to talk to everyone and check out what they were working on. Truly the goat.
