I can still remember sitting cross-legged on the floor watching the original TMNT movie for the first time. As a kid, I wore out that VHS. Getting to talk with the cast is a full-circle moment I’ll never forget.
After the past couple of days, I think it's time for me to close up shop on Xwitter. I may redownload the app to promote some of the comic projects I'm working on, but until then, you can find me on the other tech overlord's app.
I was quiet about the #DCSoWhite thing. I knew it was gonna fizzle out. So instead I did a test.
I went to every single one of the creators of it and asked for them to review my book. Either I already asked them to or did it eventually.
Take a guess how many actually did it..
Welp my 24hrs is up comic book homies! It’s time for me to leave you all in this hell hole again! It was a chaotic time but it was good to see a lot of you! You know where to find me if you ever get tired of this terrible place!
As usual, @BJKICKS is way more eloquent than my dumbass. For all the comic book homies wondering about my petty, vague posts over the weekend, can I just say, "Yeah what he said," and call it a day?
#DCSoWhite/ #DCBlackout PULL LIST! Some projects to support alongslide DCBlackout! I probably missed a lot, there's also a lot of recently finished runs by/about poc. retweet, copy paste the images to other socials, idc just sharing is useful. bleedingcool.com/comics/dc-c… -🧵
sorry I'm doing something substantive to ensure black creators continue to be employed & tapped for new projects, especially when the boycott organizers didn't talk to them about the multiple black-led projects we know have been actively in the production pipeline for months
See I can appreciate when someone gags me but like… you can’t be mad (hyperbole) some fans haven’t seen any movement since the last time they heard something so they decide they want to rally/speak up to change things. Of course patience is required for these kinda things but-
As a Black artist, I can tell you that not supporting Black artists/writers does affect us. Many of us work hard to be where we are, and not supporting them (us) can actually make more harm to the comunity. Ofc i will still be boycotting the white on-goings
