This was last week in the front garden, The plants are growing under the tarp! today I tromped on them hoping I broke some stems. I would hate to have to lift them all and start over! This is preparation for my #pollinatorpathway garden. @sherylwillwrite

The Marshy Garden Project at the Ithaca Soil Factory was awarded funding in the spring to purchase 100 native plants. The garden is part of the Tompkins #pollinatorpathway which are areas that provide critical food and habitat for pollinators.

My brother helped me cut down 3 huge burning bush last week. Today I pulled the rest of English ivy &
planted 7 native viburnum seedlings in area but slope is still very bare.
Next up, either the black cherry, plum or spicebush.
