China may be investing heavily in renewables, but it’s also one of the world’s biggest emitters. My point is that Britain making huge sacrifices alone won’t change global emissions unless the biggest polluters do the same
i'm an environmental engineer. i spent my whole life studying this. there are so many ways to debunk everything you're spewing out that i don't even know where to start from. i'm just gonna tell you to shut the fuck up and to stop bootlicking polluters
✨ It's a beautiful day to elect @Janeese4DC for mayor of DC.
Bold, progressive, and values-driven, @janeese4dc has shown herself to be a leader who will stand up to corporate polluters, defend democracy, and fight for DC’s working families.
Oil companies are not climate leaders.
Gas corporations are not development partners.
Polluters are not welcome in spaces deciding our future.
We demand people before profit.

Just looking into it and it looks like they subsidized Cole phase out, which seemed to be ahead of its time. Also, they capped energy prices which kept them level for consumers which cost the government just over $100 million for the entire NDP term. Which was covered by a carbon tax on large polluters and consumers. And it also looks like they didn’t have a chance to screw up the system with a capacity market as it was negated by the UCP.
So not sure they screwed up the system and consumers had reliable energy prices.
We will discuss:
🔹 How taxing the super-rich and biggest polluters can support climate action
🔹 Why regional perspectives and Global South priorities must shape the debate
...Fossil fuel, polluters, billionaires, etc.
The difference is that unlike Dems, Reps also align with the public interests, like taxes, crime, immigration, urban decay, homelessness, waste & fraud, government incompetence & corruption, etc...
Yes, it’s a failure of our democracy that only rich people run. I’m going to go with the party that has a history of challenging corporate polluters rather than the one that consistently protects them. But to be clear, both parties suck.
Byron's donors AI data centers, polluters like trulieve, online gambling companies, and out-of-state private equity and developers looking to ruin the rest of rural Florida don't want him to debate.

The earth has been around billions of years, as has the climate.
Humanity has been around for 300,000 .
Worrying about 150 years in that scale is largely inconsequential.
Government is neither benevolent nor omnipotent, and are the largest polluters.
Not a solution!
You're fighting to elect the richest Governor in the history of Iowa who has a long list of billionaires funding him.
His wife's company and his running mate are both serial-polluters that have contributed significantly to our cancer rates. Sure sounds like they "care," huh?
Green policy is funded honestly: wealth taxes, a carbon tax on polluters, and public ownership that removes shareholder profit. No magic efficiency savings. Just fair choices about who pays what. #GreenParty#CostOfLiving

Absolute chancers. Nationalise water. Now.
And keep it in public hands forever.
ALT Thames water told the BBC we remain of the view that w market led solution is the best way to secure the long term stability needed to continue improving performance and advancing our turnaround plan for the benefit of customers, the environment and our stakeholders
The 2026 World Cup will be the most polluting on record.
Reducing the size of the tournament is vital to tackling emissions.
But one of the easiest ways for Fifa to reduce emissions is to stop promoting major polluters like Aramco.
Take a stand. 👇

Focusing on end-of-pipe fixes ignores the root cause. @GovtofPunjabPK must regulate or shut down heavy polluters instead of just deploying machines.
