I really liked Atlas of the Heart by Brene Brown for understanding emotions & empathy skills. Polysecure & Polywise. The Five Secrets of Effective Communication (Feeling Good podcast by Dr David Burns ep. 14&15). But I think it’s a YMMV situation depending on your exact needs.

Hmm, yeah, I've been playing around with trying none, and honestly, to cut it in half polywise, it's not that big of a difference in shorter hair. Like, I'm currently redoing all my older hairs to bring em up to scratch quality-wise, and even in white, I don't think I would care.

Well, this one tarp won't tank your performance in any noticeable way polywise (polycount doesn't matter so much anymore). But it could create a lot of Quad Overdraw which is much more important. Though if everything else around is optimized you won't feel much of a difference.

I don't disagree - however I do think poly / alternative relationships often fall under extra scrutiny. While poly may well be a disaster for many, monogamy certainly is also - romantic relationships in general are the site of great violence. I wish rather than continually comparing relationship types for optimality/ suboptimality, which glosses over so much, we were developing an awareness of the toxic & harmful approaches to intimacy that can (and do) show up in all relationships orientations. Chapter 7 of polywise does a nice job of starting on this.

I think Polysecure might feel basic if you didn’t have prior exposure to attachment theory (which was me when I read it). Polywise is similar - if you already have decent poly experience and have read up on communication skills, it might feel more like a refresher.

I read polysecure a while back and it felt "basic" (but right), have you also read it/how does it compare to polywise?

Listening to Polywise by Jessica Fern and in it, falling in love is described as psychosis. I think this is often accurate and that it would be good if more people modeled it this way.
