That is not woke. Magical but complete sex change is just magic. Somehow the genes are completely rewritten and voila. You also had the cursed belt of femininity/masculinity in Baldurs gate 1. And spells such as True Polymorph. Inspired by ancient stories like Loki who turned himself into a female horse to lure away a giant horse that helped a jotun to build the walls of Asgard with Freya as the payment of he managed it within one year. Problem was that the horse made Loki pregnant so he could not change back until he (now she) had given birth to Sleipnir the eight legged horse.
Magic of true sex change or polymorph are not woke.
The master necromancer in Baldurs gate 3 who is trans and look like a dude but is a trans “woman” in a world where he actually are able to learn and cast True Polymorph and just rewrite his entire genetic woman and become a woman, that is Woke.
