👋 @CMAgovUK . We finally obtained a copy of the reinstatement valuation (like pulling teeth to get it) & did a L4L comparison, same u/w and PoolRe terrorism. MA's budget for 2024, £6,340. New premium? £2,036. I want a refund! More life, £ & ⏲️ lost. @TheFCA sharpen your pencils!

👋 @TheFCA me again! Also buildings which never had cladding (lucky! Though we've paid for other NB fire defects) and don't qualify for BSF. 2024 budget: £6,430 inc terrorism cover (PoolRe). L4L comparison, same u/w? £2,036. Hey, what's £4k between FHdr friends? @andygregory_ps

@TomTugendhat I saw you at a PoolRE event where you were saying how important this bill is and everyone was in agreement. The safety of people is paramount and I cannot understand why it is taking so long to pass.

Glad I was allowed to address this important committee alongside Nick Aldworth. Great to see amazing people from @PoolRe & of course @MrBrendanCox & you as well sat right behind us to support us. Thank you so much 🌺
It was great to attend today's @CommonsHomeAffs with @FigenMurray and Nick Aldworth this morning as they gave evidence during the pre-legislative scrutiny stages for #MartynsLaw - both gave composed and meaningful answers to the committee.

Debate on this has been ongoing for a decade, but question is now how to set up a body like PoolRe (which has govt back terror claims above a certain level) for cyber insurance when state actors involved. on.ft.com/3JYNRr5

Yes @JeremyClarkson via FloodRe & PoolRe. We asked insurers & @team_greenhalgh to consider this over 2 years ago & they just said No we won't, it'll take too long 🙄, whine whine. Hopefully Michael Gove will realise that this is the only solution. Please please email him 🙏.

PoolRe update: There were no significant terrorist attacks in the UK or Europe in February. Despite a recent decline in terrorist activity and the reduction of the UK threat level to ‘SUBSTANTIAL’ from ‘SEVERE’, however a terrorist attack remains likely. poolre.co.uk/solutions/risk-…

As ever, our thanks are also due to @PoolRe for their continued sponsorship of this important prize.

Nobody has managed to explain to me why the £6 billion in the PoolRe system could not be used We have one set of rules for leaseholders -the BSB rewrites their lease contract and that’s ok A v different set of rules for landlords and developers. Their contracts sacrosanct
If no public money, use some kind of levy, gvt contributes initial funding via loan and recoup over time. And many have suggested 'CladRe'.
