I guess so... however alot of them have to be prepared with COLMAP externally, then reimported into the software. It is a pain for me at least as it is so much nicer having it all in one place like Postshot, however Postshot is not completely free

The last thing I remember from Postshot is that they charge a monthly fee for something that can run offline😫🤷‍♂️

Postshot is better than LichtFeld. I said it! Suck it up or provide evidence 👇 I will articulate below my reasoning, but if you REALLY want to prove LichtFeld is the better reconstruction tool for 3DGS, let me know. I can share the windmill dataset shown below, captured from 360° drone footage. Feel free to run it through your pipeline, and I'll include the results in my next in-depth comparison video, where I'm benchmarking seven different reconstruction workflows, along with a big shout-out and thanks for your support. Now that we got the "request for help" out of the way, let me explain. LichtFeld might be free, support plugins and provide much more control than an off-the-shelf solution like Postshot but... If I have to hop between software to reconstruct the COLMAP and i need much more compute power to obtain the same or a better result in Postshot, I will stick with the paid option (at 26 EUR/month) that saves me a ton of time. The UI is also much more user-friendly, frame extraction is automatic and i never experienced any crashes. Do you have a different experience? Isn't Postshot worth the monthly subscription? Let me know in the comments and don't forget to ping me if you want to contribute to my in-depth comparison video coming out soon.

FWIW my workflow is to align in RealityScan (Free) and then be able to go out to PostShot, Lichtfeld or other. At least having the same alignment lets one compare .ply outputs from anything that doesn't transform the dataset. Even being able to get a polygon output can be handy!

I hop between brush, postshot and LichtFeld. The biggest advantage I see with Postshot over anyone else is how it can utilize system memory super well even if your VRAM is full. This makes my 5070 ti system be able to make huge scenes by just adding system ram

100% The postshot has the best camera alignment

I still render my horticulture splats using the built in colmap of Postshot and it is the most accurate of all the alignment softwares.

I recorded a clip of walking around the object and then trained it on my pc with Postshot. If I could record a full 360 turnaround then it would be a much better scan!
