Scotland’s @ScotGovFM , @JohnSwinney , has let the homeless down. Across Scotland, people are struggling hungry, cold, and forgotten.
Tomorrow the SNP gather for their annual conference, but the people left behind won’t be in the room.
John Swinney, come and visit the people who need to see you. Come to the streets of Glasgow, and beyond listen to the voices of those living this every day.
It’s time for action, not excuses.
Scotland deserves better.

Today, our CEO and Founder Colin McInnes has formally written to Cllr Ken Andrew calling for his immediate resignation after he closed yesterday’s planning meeting moments after voting to refuse our night shelter and soup kitchen by saying: “let’s go get that lunch.”
To make such a remark on the second day of Poverty Week, while people across Glasgow go hungry, is deeply offensive and shows complete disregard for the city’s most vulnerable.

Councillor Eva Bolander @theSNP has voted to reject the planning application for our homeless shelter and soup kitchen the only one of its kind in Scotland.
On the second day of Poverty Week, when people across Glasgow are struggling to eat and find a safe place to sleep, Councillor Bolander chose to close the doors on those most in need.
We will keep fighting for the homeless and vulnerable because compassion should never be up for a vote. 💛
