It's telling to me that I never see posts from recruiting services celebrating what athletes that signed with them do in college. Do they not care? Are they done with the family once the LOI is signed? Is employee turnover so bad that there's no connection?

When you contact coaches directly (which you have to do if you want to stand out), don't over do it, especially in the 1st message. Who you are, class, position, school location, stats or highlights, GPA. Add what interests you about the school or program

College coaches (the good ones anyway) are looking at more than your highlights. They see grades, actions, bad games, how you interact and more. Having a highlight tape is necessary, but it's only one piece of recruiting.

Grades, check. GPA, check. Love a school, but it doesn't align with what you want AFTER college? It's hard for a 16-17 year old to consider what will happen at 22-23, but that's reality. A recruiting strategy includes what you happens after graduation.
