oughggh picking just one is impossible so i'm gonna give you a few that aren't in my top four since ive alr shared those. the thing (1982 ver obvi), nope, princess mononoke, talk to me, problemista, alien, and lisa frankenstein :3
Problemista one of the best movies of the decade cause it’s about how everyone has to pay for the most basic things without having actual money. Like even the people in your fav show/movie don’t have money
I also feel like people don’t understand the business expenses for this level of success. You pay for PR which is usually 5k a month for three months, each event you go to it costs about 3-5k to pay for HMU and styling. If she’s done 3-5 events that’s already a loss.
my first exposure to julio torres' mind 💗💗💗 a little bit after I watched problemista I had my NHS induction essay due, so I basically wrote a film review and they accepted my 11pm rambles.
And don't forget about:
- All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt
- Architecton
- Beau is Afraid
- Dicks: The Musical
- Earth Mama
- Janet Planet
- Look Into My Eyes
- Marc by Sofia
- Occupied City
- Opus
- Parthenope
- Problemista
- Showing Up
- Tuesday
- When You Finish Saving the World
Don’t inherently disagree but if you’re looking for recent films with this level of fit-throwing, please check out Marianne Jean-Baptiste in Hard Truths and Tilda Swinton in Problemista
