Participating Marian shrines included Knock, Fatima, Lourdes, La Salette, and the Coimbra convent in Portugal, where Our Lady is believed to have appeared to Sister Lucia, one of the Fatima seers.

If someone attacks hindu processions, why shouldn’t people show strength in response? It’s not a zero-sum game. If they are, then you've five problems and one solution. Go for it if you have the guts. Response was given a week ago and again today.

In Spain: We're so stupid that for centuries we paraded effigies in processions because one day a Jew told us a lie about what other Jews had done. And that's despite having created the Calendar by which the world is governed. Fuck off Soros & Co. Cheers y'all! 🫦

When our forefathers spent those dry months carving masks, training for wrestling bouts that would determine village honor, clearing paths for marriage processions, or sitting in age-grade councils, they weren't idle. They were performing the highest work: the cultivation of

🇧🇭⚫️ Scholars of Bahrain: Scholarly Directives Regarding the Commemoration of the Ashura Season of 1448 AH... #None_Worthy_of_Worship_But_You #لا_معبود_سواك In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Master and Prophet Muhammad and his pure and immaculate household. Peace be upon al-Hussain, and upon Ali, the son of al-Hussain, and upon the children of al-Hussain, and upon the companions of al-Hussain. The sacred month of Allah (Muharram), dawns upon us, and grief ignites in the Islamic conscience with the remembrance of eternal Karbala — that great event which was not a passing incident in the history of the Ummah, but rather a decisive turning point through which Allah preserved His religion, safeguarded the message of His Seal of Prophets (blessings of Allah be upon him and his household), and established the argument against all servants until the Day of Judgment. Every year, Ashura is renewed in the hearts of the believers — not merely as a historical remembrance, but as a comprehensive school of faith, awareness, and commitment, a flowing spring of values and principles, and a torch of guidance in times of trials and challenges. From this, the commemoration of this blessed season has remained a symbol of loyalty to the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his household) and his pure household (peace be upon them), and an embodiment of sincere connection to the path of the message and Wilayah. As we extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the position of our Master, the Master of the Age and Time, Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah Almighty hasten his noble reappearance), to the grand religious authorities and active scholars, and to the entire Islamic Ummah, we ask Allah Almighty to make this season a season of mercy, guidance, and reform, and to grant success to all in reviving its rituals in a way that achieves the objectives of the blessed Hussaini uprising. We also express our appreciation and praise to the believing men and women who expend effort, wealth, sympathy, and sacrifices — especially the orators, reciters, poets, matam and hussainiyah administrations, processions, and all workers, volunteers, and servants of Abi Abdillah al-Hussain (peace be upon him). We ask Allah, Glorified is He, to bless their efforts and accept their deeds with the best acceptance. We urge ourselves and you to continue the blessed efforts in bearing the responsibility of commemoration according to the principles, values, objectives, and approach of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him), and to convey his message — which is the message of Islam — with complete trustworthiness, sincerity, patience, and steadfastness. ◼️ In this context, we advise the believing men and women as follows: ◾️ First: Diligence in honoring the rituals of Allah, Mighty and Majestic is He, through serious, widespread, and active attendance at Hussaini gatherings, Aza' processions, and all programs associated with this blessed season, in a manner that consoles the Master of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and reflects the station of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) in the hearts, and the depth of connection to his blessed uprising. ◾️ Second: Ensuring that the Ashura discourse is purposeful and responsible — strengthening doctrine, developing awareness, and addressing the intellectual, educational, and social challenges facing society, drawing inspiration from the Holy Quran and the biography of the Prophet and his pure household (peace be upon them). ◾️ Third: Preserving the sanctity of the season and safeguarding its atmospheres from anything incompatible with its message and objectives, and adhering to Islamic etiquette and lofty moral values in all venues of commemoration. ◾️ Fourth: Paying special attention to building the rising generations — connecting children, adolescents, and youth to the message of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) through specialized programs that develop knowledge, strengthen faith identity, and instill a sense of responsibility and belonging. ◾️ Fifth: Enhancing the presence of the conscious, committed believing woman in all areas of Ashura commemoration, and benefiting from the blessed contributions of women in spreading awareness and values inspired by the school of Sayyeda Zainab (peace be upon her) — in her faith, awareness, patience, modesty, and hijab. ◾️ Sixth: Emphasizing that the commemoration of Hussaini rituals should be accompanied by the embodiment of Karbala's teachings in social life — through active observance of congregational prayers, adherence to virtuous morals, and strengthening the spirit of cooperation, devotion, and solidarity. ◾️ Seventh: Investing this season in establishing the meanings of unity, solidarity, and compassion among members of society, transcending causes of division and discord, and strengthening the spirit of cooperation and mutual support in facing various challenges. ◾️ Eighth: Invoking the universal humanitarian dimension of Imam al-Hussain's (peace be upon him) uprising as a movement for truth, justice, and human dignity, and working to convey this sublime message to various peoples and communities. ◾️ Ninth: Activating various modern media and technological means to serve the objectives of the season, highlight the bright image of Hussaini rituals, and introduce their civilizational and humanitarian content. ◾️ Tenth: Drawing inspiration from the values of steadfastness, patience, and sacrifice from the school of Karbala, renewing the commitment to support the truth, defend the oppressed, and stand with the just causes of the Ummah — in harmony with the authentic Muhammadan way for which Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) sacrificed. We ask Allah, Glorified is He, to make this blessed season a season of goodness, guidance, and righteousness, to accept from all their righteous deeds, and to hasten the reappearance of His Remnant on His earth, the Master of the Age and Time (may our souls be sacrificed for him). And all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. ▪️ Scholars of Bahrain 29 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH June 15, 2026 AD

In Derry City, Northern Ireland, on June 13, to mark the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of Fátima, and the feast of St. Anthony of Padua, 6,000 people took part in a Eucharistic procession that completed its route in the shadow of the city’s famous walls. The prayer event kicked off a worldwide Eucharistic procession honoring the Blessed Mother including more than 550 parishes and 15 prominent shrines across six continents in what organizers say is the first-ever united and coordinated global Marian Eucharistic procession. Participating Marian shrines included Knock, Fátima, Lourdes, La Salette and Pontmain Shrine in France, Garabandal in Spain, Beauraing Shrine in Belgium, and the Coimbra convent in Portugal, where Our Lady is believed to have appeared to Sister Lucia, one of the Fátima seers. Barry Mallett from the Guardians of the Faith group, who organized the Derry procession, spent over a year contacting parishes, dioceses, and Marian shrines around the world to bring them together for this remarkable global outpouring of Eucharistic adoration, held in unison at the same time in each area of the world. “Fruits from the last Eucharistic processions [held in February and November 2025 in Derry] are an increase in Mass attendance and vocations, with a real hunger and desire to see these continue to help lead our youth back to God,” Mallett told EWTN News. “We have seen an increase in conversions and an uplift in faith amongst the Gen Z population locally.” He added: “There isn’t any coincidence that this is all taking place so shortly after Archbishop Eamon Martin, a Derry man, reconsecrated Ireland to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June 2025 and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the Rosary Rally in Knock on the 6th of June.” Mallett said he has been getting messages from around the world from participants in the procession who say “they were overwhelmed and that it was such an honor to be part of this synchronized event to honor the holy mother of God.” “Locally here in Derry the buzz is incredible; people were saying it’s absolutely beautiful. As the procession wound its way through the city, devotional items were handed out to passersby, and people came out of shops, restaurants, and public houses to watch the very significant event,” Millet explained. “There’s a very famous prophecy by St. Patrick in 433 about a light rising and shining from the north of Ireland, spreading throughout the whole of Ireland, on to Britain, Europe, and the whole world.” The city of Derry is remembered for some of the most notorious incidents of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. During the opening Mass before the procession, Father Roland Colhoun, curate in the Derry Diocese, Parish of Ardstraw East, said: “A procession visually and spiritually transforms streets and sanctuaries into places of contemplative peace. The exercise of communal prayer elevates the district into a place of holiness. We walk under banners with messages of faith, carrying our rosary beads as instruments of prayer. We venerate the image of Our Lady, adore the Eucharist, and meditate on the mysteries of the faith as we process. By taking part in the worldwide Marian procession today, you and I are making our contribution to world peace. May the Prince of Peace reign in our hearts and in the hearts of our brothers and sisters across the world.” After Mass, celebrated in the Creggan estate, a well-known housing development built for working-class Catholics, where the 1972 Bloody Sunday civil rights march started, the route of the procession followed that of the march, culminating at the Long Tower church — the site of the last Penal mass in the city in 1784 and now known as the home parish church of Servant of God Sister Clare Crockett, an Irish sister who died in an earthquake in Ecuador at the age of 33. The church is also close to the site of St. Columba’s original church in Derry. Sister Clare Crockett’s uncle, Danny Doyle, said: “Clare would have loved today and been thrilled to have this on her own patch where she was born and reared.” Sisters from the Letterkenny convent of Sister Claire Crockett’s congregation, Home of the Mother, were present in Derry, and other sisters participated from their convent in Spain. Among the procession participants was Father Patrick Desmond, OP, from the Dominican congregation in Newry, who told EWTN News: “It’s great to be here. It was so well organized, and everyone played their part. So many young people. So many young families. It would just give you confidence and encourage you to remember that the Lord is in control and it’s his Church!” Desmond said he believes the Lord “is going to renew the Church in the world in his way and in his time, and it’s happening. It’s very exciting to be at the heart of it. I’m very encouraged, and I’m going to go back to my congregation, and I’m going to try to encourage them with some of the joy that I’ve experienced here and remind them that God will have the victory ultimately! This needs to be multiplied and magnified!” ewtnnews.com/world/europe/de…
