Unless you know people who use @Google Voice or @Projectfi. You won't be receiving texts from them. You'll be able to send them texts and their outbox will say they sent texts to you - but no - you will never see their texts. #Fail #SpamFilters

I've been a loyal Google customer since I bought my first Nexus 1. Everything I do on the internet is fully integrated with Google. I will be changing that starting today. Like every human I have biases. When I identify them and I realize they are wrong, I do my best to correct. Until this moment I refused to acknowledge that Google had deviated from its original motto of "Don't be evil." Fuck you @Google @Projectfi hate that you're making me do this.

Reminder that if you are on one of these carriers, you're on T-Mobile's network! @Projectfi (Google Fi) is another that is not listed here, if you know of any others call them out!
BREAKING: @TMobile has quietly updated their TOS to include fines for content they don’t agree with. Beginning on January 1, 2024, they will be fining users who commit perceived violations on their bandwidth. Who knew in America that the phone providers would now be policing the content of your text messages to fine you. S.H.A.F.T. is an acronym that stands for Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, and Tobacco. It outlines the categories of text messages specifically regulated due to moral and legal issues and is monitored and enforced by the Cellular Telephone Industries Association (CTIA) and the mobile carriers. Who gets to determine what is and isn’t “hateful”? Will political text messages be censored now as well going into 2024? This is what @comcast did to me in 2019/2020 when I ran for Congress. I warned people that it would happen to others when nobody did anything to stop this when it happened to me as a congressional candidate! Nice TOS date change! Just in time for the GOP primary and 2024 presidential election! Nothing to see here!
Community note
Bandwidth the company the user is referring does not provide consumer service. These specific terms of service are for commercial/enterprise users of the T-Mobile network. This does not directly apply to P2P (Peer to peer) messaging. t.co/s9J4mOS0I3 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandwidth

Reminder that many 3rd party carriers (like @Projectfi) rely on MVNOs

Careful if you use a 3rd party carrier that relies on T-Mobile like @Projectfi

Been a user since ProjectFi, and have gotten bill credits for even the tiniest of issues. But a 10 day delay in shipping and unwillingness to price match is "unable to be done" Pick a provider that actually cares about it's customers, @googlefi clearly doesn't.

Bryce’s version is called “HairTag”.

I don't have any Apple products, so no AirTags for me, but data-only sim cards are free with @Projectfi, so I just stick an old phone in my suitcase to track my luggage. It works great and has saved me on a few occasions!

I completely forgot that I'm switching to ProjectFi 😂. That explains one of the packages.

They never sent me a cool bobblehead!
New phone time. @SamsungMobileUS S22 to replace my S20. The @Projectfi deal was too good to pass up and sadly the Pixel 6a was not a good enough offering (S22 beats out the 6 too).

I've had an extremely good time internationally with @Projectfi
Thanks. Specs are here (scroll down); I see stuff about LTE, 5G sub-6 (?), GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA /HSDPA, CDMA (that's Verizon right?), but don't know what most of the specific stats mean.

I've only been with @TMobile for a couple pay cycles and I've already been worth the switch. My Fi bill was typically $80 ~$90/mo with "Bill Protection". Now I pay $69/mo and have a shit load of data to use without worry of making my bill high. 🙂 #tmobile #googlefi #projectfi

@googlefi is going downhill. They are not the @projectfi we knew and loved. 4 hours on the phone with support today, trying to return the trashy #pixel6 they sent me. They gave me 1. Wrong information 2. A number to call that didn’t work 3. False Promise of a return call.
