OTB requires you to spend resources. It would definitely be dominated by a certain level of chess players. If you want to compare online and OTB, it would be possible if you can get data for players over say 1800 chess rating online and work with that.

One problem i think they’ll have is safety, and it’s understandable, you really can’t expect them to accept to meet with strangers like that. So if there’s a way safety is assured then i think it’ll improve.

What's the percentage online? Less women play chess that's just it, fixing it would mean making more girls play from childhood and maintain that interest.

This month she went undefeated at the Under-14 Girls Kiembini Cluster Chess Tournament in Kenya. The seeds we planted are sprouting. 🌱 Naomi’s story isn’t about chess. It’s about what happens when a girl is given a reason to come back.

And to think Naomi quit playing as of last year. Seeing her back and winning is everything @promotingqueens exists for. This is why we don’t give up on girls. Talented, hardworking, unstoppable….💜💜💜
