Right! So the distinction is mainly for proofwriting purposes. Aka, job security.

No, thats not my point. Q and R were an arbitrary distinction that has little impact on how the algebra is conducted. it really only serves as a proofwriting device. And the axiom of infinity was a mistake, only kept for historical reasons. etc. Algebra totalizes over ops.

Even worse. Did they just spend a month proofwriting and immediately jumped into the animation process without double checking for a good plot?

So the 'Grok' button in the posting interface now opens a whole new Grok's Image Generator blank page instead of proofwriting your post. What a wonderful UX decision.

MemeMax_Fi × KaitoAI isn’t just trades signals it’s the discipline layer most skip over. That ledger habit turns noise into patterns, MaxPacks into mapped momentum. Consistency here is the quiet alpha steady blocks stacking until the culture shifts. Not hype, not moonshot chasing, just onchain proofwriting in real time #MemeMax #KaitoAI #MemeCore
Just tried MemeMax_Fi with KaitoAI and it clicked. I followed @MemeMax_Fi’s pre-trade checklist liquidity depth, sensible leverage, screenshots of entry/exit, and post-trade notes. A few sessions in and the habit of documenting each move already shows better risk planning and clearer MaxPack momentum. The vibe is practical, not hype, a ledger of what actually moves on MemeCore while @KaitoAI pushes signals on the open testnet hub. Climbing the Yap leaderboard feels like proof in the making What surprised me is the tempo: consistency beats moonshots when rewards and points flow from steady on-chain activity. The combo of MaxPacks from active trading and KaitoAI’s community metrics creates a culture shift more than a product launch. If you’re building a playbook, this pairing deserves a try are you in or watching while others log their path with MemeMax_Fi and @KaitoAI #MemeMax #KaitoAI #MemeCore?

What the world needs is a little less proofreading, and a little more proofwriting

In my experience, the two great walls are calc and proofwriting. But they don't run very high. If you're 120 or above you can probably do any college-level math. High-level Algebra and Analysis are the most challenging classes but you benefit a lot in them from prior experience

From Aug 15-18 @raisingamath held a #ProofWriting camp in a remote village in Karjat, Maharashtra. 29 students from across India, Dubai, & London explored mathematical argumentation, bonding over math, games, & village life. Thanks to mentors & @jaypee4u for making this possible!

Last week, I recommended 4 excellent books for mastering the art of mathematical proof (👇) I also expressed concerns about the need for universities to better train students in mathematical proofwriting. A recent (2019) survey by David and Zazkis aimed to quantify the status of Introduction to Proof (ITP) courses at US universities. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.… Here's a summary of their findings:

In the US and elsewhere, math students fresh out of high school are often catapulted into proof-heavy subjects like Real Analysis and Abstract Algebra without any training in proof-writing essentials. They often feel overwhelmed, and as a result, many decide not to major in math. It doesn't have to be that way! I've compiled a list of four excellent "Introduction to Proof" books that every mathematician needs in their arsenal.

Some of you are way too concerned with proofreading and need to worry about proofwriting instead.

Proofwriting should be taught sooner & more often to capable students. Few things train your thinking as well as proofs. It’s also “real” math in the sense it’s the foundational skill in almost every 300 level math class.

for what it's worth most american math teaching is very bad, i know plenty of folks who thought they were terrible at it until they got to high-level work & found that while they weren't so good at the mechanical manipulations of k-12 math they loved proofwriting

99 variations on a proof. Not exactly a textbook but it's fun to flip through and there's some real quality and inventive content in there if you look closely. It reminds me of how creative proofwriting can be

Finalmente terminé Heartbeat. Diez palabras por debajo del límite y a seis horas del cierre. Proofwriting y corrección hecha. Ahora depende de los jueces que se convierta en candidato a manga serializado

A student went nuclear on me after I gave him a D in my introduction to proofwriting course; he was on the verge of challenging me to trial by combat. Proof that my grading was unfair: He has five degrees already, so he's obviously a very smart man.

and the CS dept’s proofwriting class was regarded by most of the math department as a complete joke 2/2.
