“Watching children play freely, so deeply engaged that they didn’t even notice our presence, is one of the clearest signs of a true Child-Friendly Space. A place where children feel safe, supported, and able to simply be children. These spaces provide structure, protection, and healing, and here they are doing exactly what they are meant to do,” said Mr. Damalesh, Head of the Global Humanitarian Unit at Terre des Hommes Netherlands.
Through the Ethiopia Joint Response Project, we are creating environments where children can learn, play, recover from distress, and regain a sense of normalcy.
This is what safety, dignity, and resilience look like in practice.
This is partnership in action.
This is impact you can feel.
