A BEGGAR’S ASHES
Who is going to keep my ashes
When I go?
Childless
Familyless
Friendless
Who is going to keep my ashes
On the kitchen table
And think of me
Each morning with breakfast? #poetry#poetrywriter#poetrycommunity#PublishedPoet
A VISIT
I visited my childhood home after 60 years
I sat outside and hoped I hoped I would...
I don't even know what I hoped for.
A young Asian girl passed by on a skateboard.
My first love was Asian.

RIDDLE It’s always the same.
Even when it’s not the same It’s the same.
Is there really a difference between what is the same and what is not?
and if so,
please don’t give me the same answer as last time. #poetry#poem#PublishedPoet#poetrycommunity
THE EYE
The Eye looks outward and sees glare.
The Eye looks inward and sees a murky pool.
The Eye closes and sees blackness,
which is the most comforting sight of all.

THE BEGINNING
Memory adheres to the brain
Like grains of sand to a shell.
And when the shell is washed by the Sea,
memory disappears and the brain
Is born once new. #poetry#poem#micropoetry#poetrycommunity#PublishedPoet
