It’s not about being authentic it’s about being able to use a low cost motherboards that no one wants and playing 98 era games and MSDOS stuff. I’ve tried it several times with Quickinstall 98 without issues on older LGA 775 boards. Throw in a Sound Blaster Live and you are ready

BTW the your newest version of Quickinstall is great. Fixed a lot of little issues for me.

I guess in some years QuickInstall will have to drop 486 support when the last LTS kernel with it goes out of support :)

And all QuickInstall development this year was spawned by this specific build!
With 1.0.1, this error is recoverable with the 'Retry' button, *AND* the new DMA disable options prevent it entirely!
So the PCChips Celeron 466 shitbox now has a working QuickInstall....ation :)

I finally found a board/drive combination where I can reliably reproduce this often-reported error in QuickInstall, so it is now time to implement read-retries and error handling :)

Windows 98 SE (installed via Quickinstall) finds an "AD-CHIPS Audio Adapter" but has no drivers for it, nor does it accept the drivers I found so far that I thought could match.
UNISOUND says "Unknown PnP card [PXQ4304] found. Aborting..."
Any help or RTs appreciated.

- Phoenix BIOS bootloader freeze (fixed in 1.0.1)
- USB flash drives have 2 drive letters if connected at boot (fixed in 1.0.1)
- USB mice cause "Version Conflict" popup (fixed in 1.0.1)
- PS/2 mice dont show up in device manager (fixed in 1.0.1)
