This year, I GET to teach a class where the majority were my students last year. There are about 12 new kids, but the other 14 were mine in 7th grade. Of course, we had a quickwrite on day 1. Let me tell you, my kids CAN WRITE. And we are going to get better. #Proudteacher

I used to give out jolly ranchers for kids that would share what they wrote in their daily quickwrite. But honestly? Now that I've stopped, I get the same amount of participation and less trash left on my floor.

You taught the lesson, whatβs next? Doing a 5 - 10 minute #WICOR strategy the next day or two, like a quickwrite, ensure students are retaining recently learned information. Spiral & process as often as possible. Ss @HeritageBroncos know the drill. @gcisdSS @AVIDBroncos
