🌱If you are unsure if old seeds are still viable germinate a few on damp kitchen paper to check. Much better than wasting your time & maybe missing your slot in the season. Also handy to know approx. germination rate so you know how many to sow later! #QuickcropTips #Seeds

Propagator temperature - Vegetables have different germination temperatures but if you stick with 18˚C for cool climate crops and 20-22˚C for warm (tomatoes, peppers etc.) that's all you really need to know. #Propagation #QuickcropTips #SowingSeeds

Strawberry Tip /Reminder! You can grow strawberries in a polytunnel but you need to put plants outside in the winter otherwise they won't flower well (they need to be exposed to cold). You move them back in late Jan/early Feb. #QuickcropTips #Strawberries #Polytunnel

Winter Polytunnel Tip: Even if you have nothing growing in it, make sure to water the soil in a polytunnel or greenhouse every now and then to prevent it drying completely and killing beneficial soil life. Every couple of weeks will be more than enough #QuickCropTips #Polytunnel
