DR 98912 is paired with her sister unit DR 98912 the pair having set off from the depot near Wigan at 03.15 hrs this morning on railhead treatment working visiting various lines in the northwest before arriving back in Wigan at 13.40 hrs this afternoon. The train is spraying a high-power jet of water at the top of the rails to remove the build up of fallen leaves and applying an adhesion paste to reduce wheel adhesion problems for the trains and rail industry at this time of the year.
