Coming back from a 3-day trip to Philadelphia and Delaware. One topic kept coming up: Data centres and AI. The U.S. is in the middle of the largest data-centre buildout in its history, driven by AI. Roughly 800 new AI-focused data centre projects are currently planned or under construction across the country. Depending on how these projects evolve, between 250,000 and 630,000 acres of land could eventually be dedicated to AI infrastructure—an area ranging from larger than New York City to nearly the size of Rhode Island. Nationally, that's a tiny fraction of America's 880 million acres of farmland. But locally, it's a different story. Many of these projects are being built on or near productive agricultural land because that's where large parcels, water access, and power infrastructure exist. The real question isn't whether AI will consume all our farmland. It won't. The question is whether AI can outbid agriculture for land, water, and electricity in some of North America's most productive farming regions. The AI revolution isn't just about chips and algorithms. It's increasingly about land use. #AI #Agriculture #FoodSecurity #DataCenters

The burning of the Royal Navy schooner Gaspee on June 9, 1772 by a group of angry Rhode Islanders who had enough of their ships boarded and searched for contraband and/or seized, concerned the other colonies. On one hand, they believed the burning was justified. On the other, they feared that it would lead to the Crown punishing Rhode Islanders similar to the punishments Massachusetts had received due to rebellion. Samuel Adams created the first Committee of Correspondence a week before the burning and with Joseph Warren and others, proliferated the idea to the other colonies. The burning of the Gaspee was one factor that led colonies to agree to form Committees of Correspondence to communicate with one another regarding Parliament’s violation of their rights and liberties.

The General Assembly passed legislation sponsored by @RepRayHull and @SenatorCiccone that would require all public utilities to maintain a customer service facility within the state to perform services such as addressing customer inquiries and accepting bill payments. “Attempts to lower costs and increase profits for utility companies should never take precedence over the needs of the customers, or the services they provide to those customers. We must make sure that Rhode Island customers who buy services from these utilities are properly and adequately served. And unless there is a service center conveniently located within Rhode Island to handle the concerns and needs of the customers, I don’t think they are being well served,” said Deputy Speaker Hull. 🚨 NOW: Stephen Miller demands the US SUPREME COURT intervene ASAP after Rhode Island activist Judge John McConnell UNILATERALLY BLOCKED President Trump's policies to shield America from dangerous 3rd world migrants The JUDICIAL COUP MUST END! MILLER: "Local judge says it’s illegal to restrict migration and that America actually belongs to 8 billion foreigners—not you or your family and that no matter who you vote for you will be dispossessed. If SCOTUS doesn’t restrain these judges the people will lose all faith in the courts." The judge ruled: "[The blocked policy] made it harder for immigrants from dozens of countries to stay and enter the U.S." "In a ruling harshly criticizing the administration, Judge John McConnell said the policy 'threw the lives of countless immigrants living in the United States into indeterminate legal limbo.'" "The policies enacted after the shooting of two National Guard members last year meant that immigrants from 39 countries have been barred from receiving a federal final decisions on, among other things, their asylum and work permits green card." IMPEACH HIM!

CDC & NIH FALSE NARRATIVES EXPOSED CCN Rhode Island interviews Dr. Peter McCullough at the World Council for Health Next Steps Conference in Rhode Island on May 29th. In this exclusive interview, renowned cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough weighs in on what he terms the "great controversies" of modern public health. From COVID-19 and monkeypox to bird flu and Ebola, Dr. McCullough challenges the mainstream narrative driven by the CDC and NIH. He argues that the public is being misled into a state of fear to justify lockdowns and vaccine dependence, while ignoring treatable protocols. Watch as he calls for "common sense," individual health sovereignty, and the critical need for medical counterpoints in today's media.

The Gaspee Affair Tonight in 1772, a party of about 60 Rhode Islanders in eight longboats approached the grounded British revenue schooner HMS Gaspee near Providence. Led by merchant John Brown and others they boarded the vessel around 1 a.m. overpowering the small crew, wounding Lt. William Dudingston who was shot in the groin, and setting the ship on fire after removing the crew to shore. The Gaspee burned to the waterline before dawn. Dudingston had aggressively enforced customs laws, seizing ships & rum, boarding vessels, & ignoring colonial authority outraging Rhode Islanders protective of their trade rights. The act was deliberate resistance. A Royal Commission of Inquiry was formed to investigate with the power to send suspects to England for trial violating jury of peers rights which was echoed in Samuel Adams 1772 writings as “Americanus” decrying the commission as worse than the Stamp Act & against Magna Carta principles. No one was ever identified or convicted due in part to local silence. The event contributed to growing colonial concerns over British policies and the establishment of Committees of Correspondence. It was one of the early direct confrontations between colonists and British forces in the lead-up to the Revolution, more than a year before the Boston Tea Party.
