This is shocking. He was such a good pitcher & an even better person. His work off the field in the community was always a blessing to those in need. Prayers to his family, friends, & his teammates. Gone far too soon. #RIP17 🙏
We are devastated to learn of the passing of former Major League pitcher Brian Matusz.
Matusz, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2008 MLB Draft, spent a majority of his eight seasons with the Orioles. He won his Major League debut on August 4, 2009, as he gave up just one run in five innings. Matusz pitched in 280 regular season games throughout his career, starting in 69 of them.
He pitched for two Orioles’ Postseason teams (2012 and 2014), making seven total Postseason appearances out of the bullpen. He made his last Major League appearance with the Cubs in 2016. He was 37 years old.

Sad to hear that 1955 World Series champion Carl Erskine has passed away.
My grandma used to tell me how they ADORED Oisk when the Dodgers played in Flatbush.
He autographed this 1955 World Series banner for me a few years ago.

Tonight before game we received a donation from @OHAhockey1 ref Braedon Newman towards the Eli Scholarship Fund. Braedon was reffing the game when we lost Eli. This gesture means a lot ❤️
