With eight months until his case goes before a jury, Patrick Clark, the man charged with shooting and killing Takeoff on Nov. 1, 2022, has hired new legal counsel. According to court records obtained by XXL on Monday (March 23), Clark has retained the services of well-known Texas attorneys Kent Schaffer, Anthony Osso and Dan Cogdell.
Schaffer has over 40 years of experience in criminal law and has represented Rap-A-Lot CEO J Prince in the past, according to Schaffer's bio. Osso has also reportedly been a part of Prince's legal team in past cases.
Clark is accused of shooting and killing Takeoff following a private afterparty hosted by J. Prince Jr. at a Houston bowling alley. Following multiple delays, the trial is now slated to start on Nov. 5.
