We found our 13-year-old son hiding in the school toilets - Not from bullies. From the curriculum. He’s Autistic ADHD. And exploding with potential - in sport, writing, and video. But school was almost designed to trigger his nervous system. Every day, class felt like a threat. Half the time, no one even knew where he was. Until one day - we did. So we made a decision: We pulled him out. We didn’t just leave school. We left behind the version of learning that was leaving him behind. And honestly? I panicked. What now?! I’m not a school teacher. I build software. Then I saw something that lit a fire: Alpha School - a real school where kids learn through conversations with AI. No teachers. Just dialogue-driven learning. It was working. And I knew: I need this at home. So I went all in. I used my 20 years in software engineering to build him something from scratch: An AI-powered homeschooling platform - based on curiosity.
