Figuring it out slowly, works out of the box in RealityKit but Reality Composer Pro is unable to read this usdz 🥲 Time for a feedback ticket!
So I don't get the same result in RCP 3, Preview & Xcode 🤡 Looks like I need to rework my BlenderToRCP exporter too because the animation clips are not working in RCP 3 at all.

When using GaussianSplatComponent, you need to load point data for a file such as PLY, SPLAT, SPZ, or SOG, by yourself. RealityKit doesn't handle this. You can utilize some OSS like below.🌙

The ProjectiveTexture and Physical Space Lighting in RealityKit APIs in VisionOS 27 are super awesome. Mind is blown. I once created a dense tutorial to make this effect in shader graph and I am amazed how easy it is to do now without event touching shader graph. The Projective Texture can also be animated.

Agree with Joe, I have used Unity and want to test out Unreal. The beauty of RealityKit is that it is free. You don't have to pay the unity subscription annually. I do have hopes for the roadmap for RCP 3 it is has a lot of features from unity this year like Navigation Mesh etc.

Now I need to figure out how to make this guy work inside RealityKit. Any tips on how to export a character with animations from @MeshyAI to blender? I only get a file without animations. I'll make it part of my visionOS 27 sample.

No time to rest this weekend, since we have two Vision Pro projects that will be shown during @VivaTech. Really excited about them! I wish we could have used the new RealityKit for them, but that will have to wait!

I know this will sound martian, but it seems like RCP3 is no longer a USD editor and rather a RealityKit authoring environment powered by the spirit of Clarisse and The Machinery #WWDC26
