How is food waste turning into energy? ⚡️
Dirty Vegan chef, Mathew Pritchard, takes us behind the scenes at an anaerobic digestion facility at a plant in Aberdare, South Wales, where food waste is converted into green energy.
From peelings and bones, to teabags and eggshells, we all agree that food should never go in the rubbish. And in Wales, huge strides are being taken to ensure all waste is repurposed — either to create renewable energy, or recycled into something new.
Wales are currently #2 in the world for recycling - second only to Austria.
@WalesRecycles has calculated that if everyone in the country puts just one more banana skin in their food waste caddy, Wales could reach #1. 🏆
Their
#BeMightyRecycle campaign is raising awareness of how small changes could make all the difference when it comes to
#FoodWaste and
#Recycling.
