Long before the Critical Drinker, RedLetter Media, Nerdrotic, and even Siskel and Ebert, and too many others to mention, there was the memorable Gene Shallit; R.I.P. Sir.

The redletter media guys made a good point. This movie needed to be made 15 years ago so that fathers who watched the show as kids could take their young sons to see it. Now, a large portion of those sons are adults themselves.

How sad that you typed all this just to be wrong. RedLetter is incredibly cringe and contributed to the bullying of Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best—and Hayden Christensen for that matter.
Piece of midwit crap with a genuinely gross sense of humor, you know what I’m talking about.
I grew up in the church. From zero to sixteen I studied the Bible. I left because of the adults’ hypocrisy. But kept Jesus’s woke-ass words as a moral foundation to live my life. How dare these supposed Christians use his name to defend abusers, pedos, murderers, liars and cheats. If he came back, he’d go all berserker mode on MAGA. #redletter#jesus#smokefleet
You should definitely evangelize, save more souls with honey than lemons. Of course, as it says, "*redletter*don't start no, won't be no." (FAFO 11:11)

lol there’s characters that he could play incredibly well just given how awkward he is but this ain’t it. If you’ve ever seen him in RedLetter it’s not just his acting that’s peculiar it’s his entire presence. You can work with that but not as a leader. The Legion is already dangerously close to cringe and hard to put to film. He’s not helping
A lot of prequel haters were/are disgruntled Boomers and Gen-X'ers who were upset that the prequels weren't a 1-to-1 recapture of the feelings they felt watching the original trilogy when they were younger, or folks brainwashed by RedLetter Media
